At a previous job for a software company, we had a guy in accounting get fired....so he proceeded to call in a bomb threat on the building the next day. For the next month they shut down all entrances to the building except for the main one and had police on site for the full work day.

During my days as the manager of a video store I fired some dumbarse who allowed a mate to steal a whole bunch of XBOX 360 games . When this happened he got extremely irate and decided it was a good idea to punch a lamp post outside. Which resulted in him breaking his right hand and was screaming in pain as it was a nasty break.
I took pity on the stupid bastard and drove him to the local A&E.

At my old Job there was this one REALLY weird guy who basically creeped everyone out.
During his time there he did the following: *Reported 2 ladies to HR for being "witches" *Reported people to HR for sending secret messages about him using morose code *Tried to take credit for writing the song "Shout" by the Isley Brothers (a song that came out roughly 20 years before he was born) *Talked openly about collecting weapons for Armageddon *Would stand next to people at the Urinal and ask them personal questions about their Religious Beliefs
Anyhow this guy managed to work there a good amount of years before getting fired. While they were cleaning out his desk they found a list he had been keeping of people he wanted to die.
There was additional security in and around the building for about 2 months after that.

I was the beneficiary of one! A couple years ago, the plant I was working at was closed by corporate. Because of the sheer amount of work that needed to be done before we could close (removing hundreds of thousands of lbs of metal bar stock, dismantling all the equipment, etc) they informed us in February that June 30th would be the last day. They swore up and down that anyone who wanted to stay (mainly those who had been there a long time, as severance was based on how long you'd worked there) would be employed until June 30th.
So all the inventory was shipped out by the end of May, the only work to do was to get contractors to take out the racks and cranes, fix up the building, etc. So they tell my boss he has to get rid of everyone in the warehouse that day, except for himself and the assistant plant manager. That dude was a complete loss, so my boss convinces them to keep me on as well but everyone else gets canned that day with no warning. They'd still get their severance but several didn't have jobs lined up yet and were basically tossed out. A real dick move.
So my boss is incredibly pissed that he had to do that and I became the instrument of his revenge. They had asked for all the scanning and security equipment back earlier in the month, so my boss started claiming we were all working 12 hours a day to get everything done in the last month and they had no way to check and just had to take his word. In reality, I'd show up sometime before lunch and leave around 3:30. I did nothing, I literally just had to let contractors in and out of the building and lock up at 3:30, I just sat around and read and got a massive month's worth of overtime out of it.

A guy got fired at my former job, he worked in the Miami office , I worked in NY , while I didn’t know him very well we had worked together for about 3 years and never met in person. After getting fired sent out several emails ripping management and other co workers to shreds. Reported some serious violations to government agencies , unfortunately in one of the emails he named me as one of favorite co workers ( me along with 2 other people) which led to some harassment between myself and management. I ultimately reported them as well and quit after six months

We had a woman who was hired as the company Safety Manager. She came in and pushed hard for all sorts of expensive upgrades to all of our safety systems. The company turned down every one. Each rejection led to another bigger request. After six months she gave her two weeks notice. On her last day she sent out a company wide email saying how badly run the company was, announcing that she had initiated a complaint with OSHA, and suggesting that we all contact (investigator's name) and add our names to her complaint. I never heard of anyone from OSHA actually coming to check us out so I doubt they took her seriously.

We had a teacher who told her students that she was leaving before telling anyone else. She then went to the Principal, officially quit, and left all while her class was empty. Needless to say, she wasn't good at her job but you like to see someone last the whole day so that a bunch of little kids aren't left by themselves.

I'll just point out that most states and locales have statutes now that if you work in IT and go all scorched earth on your way out, you are criminally and civilly liable for the damage. Luckily with the over a decade I've been in IT, I've never seen it happen that I've had to deal with.

Casino. People are always causing trouble when they get fired. It can either turn into a security escort, permanent ban, and security code change for the locks; or it can result in the on site state police taking you into custody. Usually ends up the former.

I've heard a story or two of people in the past lighting up cigarettes and yelling on their way out, but nowadays if you're fired at my job, you're escorted out.
