Since the Clippers catch shit for Leonard sitting out a game I hope the Warriors catch a mountain of shit for this. Although they'll get a pass because of their massive botch of the KD injury.
Watch Draymond Green end up sitting out the season with a hangnail or hemorrhoids. Hell watch Kerr figure out a way for him to skip the season so his career winning % doesn't take a shit.

Memphis University's James Wiseman (highly touted NBA prospect for 2020) has been deemed ineligible by NCAA for him and his family accepting financial assistance from Memphis coach Penny Hardaway (he helped pay for them to move close to Memphis, which you can't do, apparently). So somewhere in Sacramento, the Kings are saying "Awesome, Wiseman will be healthy when we draft him next year."

TBH I don't think they need to rest him to lose. Draymond isn't ever gonna be a 20 points a game 2nd option kind of guy,and even though he is an elite defender who can guard any position your defense is still bad if you put him on the floor with D'Angelo and 4 youngun's. They should probably play him some game's so he ain't rusty when he comes back next year.

Play Draymond as much as possible, you never know what impact he could have on the young guys and he's a guy who will not sit on the bench anyway Leave the possibility of trading him alive too

I’m over here watching Harry Giles immediatly being one of the best Kings on the floor.
—
Quick six-minute stint, good D, no fouls, smooth shot. Great hands. So talented.

F*** the NCAA and their selective enforcement BS. There’s going to be a hearing on the 18th, but I’ll be stunned if it goes Memphis’ way. But Sean Miller can be caught on tape paying players and it doesn’t matter.

Show me 10-15 games of solid contributions and he will start to show a bit of promise

The programs can earn millions of dollars off of free labor, but if anyone decides to throw someone a bone, ALL HELL NAW! The "They get a free education" argument doesn't cut it, either, since they have to spend far more time practicing and travelling with the varsity team than they can with academics, so it's not as if many of those players even get to take advantage of that educational experience. Heck, you're not allowed to have a part-time job while you're a "student athlete".

Just can’t see how NBA doesn’t bring in the high school rule again Man, I just wish the G-League was able to build up more talent to the NBA level and be treated as a legit avenue for player development and not (as some teams are guilty of) as an excuse to shuttle benchwarmers back and forth. Any alternative to the NCAA loaner model needs to be considered.

Raptors improve to 6-2 but Lowry fractures his thumb and Ibaka hurts his ankle in the same game. If Lowry is out for something like 6-8 weeks, the Raptors might fall off hard. Siakam and OG are having breakout years but Lowry is the engine. Sucks.

It seemed they were on the right path and still is to an extent but it is still the last alternative for young players outside of going overseas and going to college

Man, I just wish the G-League was able to build up more talent to the NBA level and be treated as a legit avenue for player development and not (as some teams are guilty of) as an excuse to shuttle benchwarmers back and forth. Any alternative to the NCAA loaner model needs to be considered. The NBA is really behind the ball on the G League. It seemed they were on the right path and still is to an extent but it is still the last alternative for young players outside of going overseas and going to college For one thing, Denver & Portland still don't have teams (Kroenke be cheap and Portland has glacial patience on getting their own affiliate), and the NBA wants to put a G-League team in Mexico City, meaning they want to treat the league as sort of a sideshow attraction of sorts. Not to mention eventual issues with some markets that pride themselves on having a G-League team, such as how Detroit wants to move their affiliate from Grand Rapids to the suburbs, even though the Drive want to stay in the G-League, affiliation or not. In short, the league is less of an actual developmental league with progress and success stories and more of a "here's a bunch of random players; hope the rubes don't mind the difference", which was what was wrong with the original version back in the early 2000s.

Siakam is on the way up, OG is on the way up, and the East is trash. He has a much tougher road now and he can’t load manage in peace like he did last season. Kawhi/Siakam for the next few years as Spicy P developed would have been deadly.
