Good because Houstons request was f*** ridiculous.
And also that would have opened pandoras box for every team to start protesting losses.

Kings beat the Rockets
I'm liking how scrappy they have been without Fox and Bagley

There was very little chance the Rockets were going to get much of anything anyway.
However...
"had sufficient time to overcome the error"
Go lick yourself, Silver. Defend your officials 'just cuz', you asshat.

The Raptors have looked really bad the last 5 games (1-4). All 4 losses against good teams (MIA, HOU, PHI, LAC). Their record against good teams in general is very poor this year. Siakam has hit a bit of a wall as the #1 option. They'll still finish top 5 in the East, but looking more and more like a first round exit team. I wonder if Masai will sell at the deadline rather than watch them win 45-50 games and lose in the 1st (or 2nd at best) round. Lowry, Ibaka, Gasol, etc, could help some contenders.

Yea they are a middle of the road team like the Joe Johnson Hawks which they do not want to be I doubt they sell anybody off, they will just play the year out

A win-win trade would be Celts giving assets for Gasol as Celts need someone for post D in the playoffs and Gasol will be too old by the time a lot of the young players on Raptors hit their prime. Even if they move some vet pieces, Siakim+young Raptors still makes them a playoff team just maybe not a 50+ games winning team

But it won't happen with him as a starter. He'll get a ring when he's about 40, playing off the bench for 5-10 minutes a game. He'll still contribute. Could totally see him being that 10-15 bench points a night sort of invaluable 6th man. Like poetry he will end his career the way it began. I think dudes like Vince Carter will become a little more common in the future. Playing into their 40's. They have the ability to start for short periods of time due to a starter injury, but their best contributions is giving 5-10 minutes of high end bench play.

If his career didn’t get off to such a slow start he’d probably wind up with statistically the best career in NBA history, still might but you’re completely right. If he wins a ring he’ll do it being the “instant offense” aging bench guy. I don’t see how this Houston team pulls it out

David Stern had emergency surgery for a brain hemorrhage. Hope he has a full recovery. He's done so much to set the NBA up for it to overtake the NFL. It's a great time for owners and players today and in the future, and a lot of that is off the back of Stern's work.
