I think Harden will eventually win a ring at some point. Most definitely won't be with Houston. I think you are right. But it won't happen with him as a starter. He'll get a ring when he's about 40, playing off the bench for 5-10 minutes a game. He'll still contribute. Could totally see him being that 10-15 bench points a night sort of invaluable 6th man. Like poetry he will end his career the way it began. I think dudes like Vince Carter will become a little more common in the future. Playing into their 40's. They have the ability to start for short periods of time due to a starter injury, but their best contributions is giving 5-10 minutes of high end bench play. How many Hall of fame guy's though will accept being the 8th-9th best guy on a mediocre team like Carter and diminishing their career statline in ppg, apg, rpg etc. A lot of guys who can still play in the NBA who are former stars choose to retire when their athleticism will only let them be a dude on the bench.

David Stern had emergency surgery for a brain hemorrhage. Hope he has a full recovery. He's done so much to set the NBA up for it to overtake the NFL. It's a great time for owners and players today and in the future, and a lot of that is off the back of Stern's work. Yeah, like him or not, he did a lot to grow the game globally. Without him at the helm, the NBA doesn't get as big, and we don't have a league that has nearly as many international players. Guys like Dirk, the Gasols, or Luka, aren't in the NBA if Stern doesn't decide to expand the game globally.

NBA is adding the Capitanes, an existing basketball team in Mexico, to the G League next season. It's unlikely the team will be affiliated with anyone, though, meaning they'll be an independent squad representing Mexico.

My nba awards so far
Luka for MVP. He has really taken the league by storm even more so than Giannis and Harden.
Coach of the year for Nick Nurse. He’s for real and proved it despite Kawhi leaving.
Defensive player of the year Anthony Davis
Most improved player Malcolm Brogdon
lolcow outlaw mudshow of the year New York Knicks

I'm liking how scrappy they have been without Fox and Bagley Imagine the Kings scrappy crew of role players around Luka Doncic’s absurd talent. They’d be a top seed in the west. Fighting for an 8 seed shouldn’t be considered a win when it should be so much more.

Game had me worried when Bron started off with 7 turnovers and when we had 19 overall for the game.
Those stats alone you would think we lost and lost bad but we dog fought that one and stay undefeated on the road.
Next up Atlanta.

Stop me if I’ve harped on this before. I’m aware it’s only two games back from injury and he can only go up... but my god, a supposed “professional” GM and his team of stooges and yesmen thought it was a good idea to draft Marvin Bagley over Luka Doncic. That breaks my brain. I cannot and willnot ever understand this pick which will forever haunt the Kings franchise.

He was averaging 18 and 9 for a couple months at the end of last year. Fox is back next week. Things will be fine in January, but I know, Luka is the one that got away, the man you think about as you fall asleep next to some gangly 7-footer whose dad Vlade didn't hate.

Vlade would have picked Darko over LeBron if he had the 1st pick in 2003.

It don't matter, Bagley could average 25 and 12 but he will never be Doncic the baby legend in the making
