So having watched Scooby-Doo and Guess Who? on the Boomerang app*, I started on this series. Six episodes in on one evening alone... what's your thoughts on this version?
I like how it's more...sophisticated...we even get story arcs. Yet it keeps the Scooby tropes, only turned to 11.
*- I see the app has added a lot since I last browsed. Mostly different versions of the main classic franchises, but yes.

One of these days I'll give it a go. I only saw bits and pieces here and there, and the only thing that felt really off was the Velma and Shaggy pairing; Velma in general just came off so different than previous versions just due to that. What's New is still my favorite incarnation of the gang as it always seemed everyone was having a blast in the production of it.

Been meaning to start watching Mystery Inc. SO far my favorite seasons are New Scooby Doo Movies,13 Ghosts and What's New. But having grown up with Scooby on 6 days a week,in the 70s,I have enjoyed most of the series.

Mystery Inc's pretty good...certainly the edgiest the franchise had been since Zombie Island, also includes a few guest turns from Harlon Ellison. A few episodes even try to educate kids on things like Planet X.

(I guess this is what certain people meant when they said she was being portrayed as "hot" in this version) She otherwise seems the same, only other addition is she is extra snarky as well. Which somehow works.

(though I am now wondering if Scoob was seen on Sundays somehow back then too...don't recall our local station doing so...)

Those I saw syndicated,on what became WPMI Fox 15 and now WPMI NBC 15 outta Mobile. The only cartoons that aired on Sundays when I was a kid was the lower tier syndicated stuff. Like Visionaires. Super Sunday with Jem,Bigfoot and Robotrix. And then thet aired at like 5am.

So I finished the series. Apparently... {Spoiler}this series turns out to have been a PREQUEL of sorts? Due to alternate timelines caused by defeating the Big Bad, the gang meets Harlan Ellison -- yes -- who guides them towards mysteries all over the world

Only thing I didn't like was the relationship drama. Enough's already been said about Velma/Shaggy being an unnatural fit, and Fred and Daphne has always been forced in this franchise. Pretty much the only romantic scene anyone can agree is legit awesome was {Spoiler}the Shaggy/Daphne moment where Shaggy and her thought he was Fred

I watched it all recently and it certainly was interesting. The long form narrative was brand new for the franchise and I think it worked. I'd been sitting on the 1st season DVD for a long time, I think I watched a bunch of it before pausing..........and I paused so long that the 2nd season set went out of print; thankfully there were also 2 separate DVD releases of that season (boy howdy do they make a lotta Scooby Doo DVDs ) and they were very cheap, so I grabbed those and did a full watch a few months ago. I think season 1 holds up better? A lot more enjoyable done-in-one episodes (where the major plot takes a back seat rather often). By the time we get to the 2nd season the main plot takes over and you only get a couple single eps that work great as standalones. And I'll be honest - I didn't see that hullabaloo that ends the series (which is like Scooby Doo on all the psycho-killer drugs) coming quite like it did. {Spoiler}I mean, they really go outta there way to show every significant supporting character getting consumed & killed in that hellscape, don't they? But worth the watch, for sure. ......now I'm wishing I'd watched the follow up series - Scooby Doo, but like Family Guy - because I feel like the red-hot WTF taste that series put on the Scooby palate needs a serious cooldown.

Be Cool is pretty good in it's own right, it was just starting to carve out an interesting mythology of it's own before it got axed (the origin of the scooby snacks and Fred's dad are of particular interest)...and turning Daphne into a cuckoolander that can drive even Shaggy nuts was one of the freshest ideas done with her characters in a long time

I'm not really a Scooby-Doo fan, but watched the episode because it had the other Hanna-Barbara characters like Speed Buggy, Captain Caveman. I thought it was pretty good.

I really liked it at the time, from memory It’s kind of like halfway inbetween a Cartoon Network and adult swim show
