I pity the poor actors when the movies start taking inspiration from Rob Liefeld's art. I can pull off the "pouches and BIG guns" look pretty well... No feet is harder, though... This is why Oscar Pistorius is a tragedy

In a way it's a little weird that comic book movies in particular have gone so extreme with how these guys look. Take Hugh Jackman's 1st appearance as Wolverine where he was in good shape but by no means ripped to say Days of Future Past where he was shredded to hell. Character wise, there's no real reason for him to have to look like the latter. Or go back to the days of the old Charles Atlas ads where dude was the standard bearer for muscles. Now days, it'd be like "where's his 8 pack?" when you only have that with no carbs and dehydrated as f***. I guess the 'look' takes inspiration from the comics themselves, but those are exaggerated by design. And it's so fake. These actors have personal trainers, dietitians, and some even use steroids to achieve that look. And to be fair, in the case of Hugh Jackman, I'm not sure he's actually completely human, he might actually be superhuman. He can act, sing, and dance, dude's got a shitload of talent, and looks like he does, he's got to have superpowers.

Chris Evans must've retired after seeing THAT drawing.
