And when he had a boring ass feud with Finn Balor where every match felt like it lasted months?
Let's do those again!
Guess credit where it's due with Finn taking time off they might actually give Bray a big win for once and have him be the first on the main roster to beat the Demon, but it's hard to be enthusiastic about it when the match is going to be a boring retread, he's already settling into the same old pattern his first night back, and his gear's inspired by Death of the Family Joker of all stupid things.

It's too early to judge, he literally hit his finisher and we got some cool visuals.
If you thought he was coming down to the ring in a v neck sweater I don't know what to tell you.

Bray's probably the guy who ought to write off Finn, so it makes sense, even if I can already tell that the crowd's going to pop for Bray the whole time. WWE really needs to understand that fans want face Bray at this point.

Maybe not necessarily that - although I would argue there absolutely is room to do that character in-ring and make it interesting - but it's Bray Wyatt using the same finisher, following the same pattern of the lights going out then attacking a random face, and still having random pointless spooky imagery. Absolutely nothing about him has changed.

The only bit I didn't like was the laughing over the sound system at the end.

I think Wyatt looks f***ing awesome, and the lights effect could use some work, but I don't think Vince understands horror concepts, and we all know he has no idea how to make anything cool.
I'm more annoyed he went after Balor and not Lesnar.
But a Heyman backed Demon vs. Fiend I'll give the benefit of the doubt.
The Fiend is just an extension of Wyatt, so it makes sense for him to use the same finisher.
I wouldn't be opposed to him adding something new kinda like when Taker started using The Last Ride as BikerTaker.
I honestly wish Wyatt had just rode out his contract and brought this new persona, and Fiend name, to AEW or LU if they get renewed. Wyatt would absolutely shine like a diamond in the temple.

I just watched the segment and thought it was good but man the commentary almost ruined it for me.

I just watched the segment and thought it was good but man the commentary almost ruined it for me. You should have seen when they recapped it twice and I shit you not, BOTH TIMES, Cole said "There was nothing fun about that for Finn Balor" Like Vince thought that line was so amazing it had to be repeated.

It will never count until we get that exact match featuring those two in that setup.

Far as I'm concerned, Bray Wyatt can f*** off forever.

IMO, I'd replace the laughter with more of the spooky "screamy" sounds then Bray saying "yowie wowie" in a creepy voice before the smash to black.

I heard a rumor about finn asking for a couple months off and supposedly getting it after summerslam. would work just about right for a return for survivor series with perhaps a surprise reveal to back up some old friends for their team in the "traditional survivor series match" and take Big E's advice about not being too sour to heart.

Why the f*** didn't they give him a new finisher?
When you reboot a guy, reboot him all the way...

I'm confused... because I see lots of people saying it's cool. And I want to see it the same way. I really do. I don't like to just hate shit, it's a miserable way to live one's life.
But like, all I see is the same dude doing the same shit with a ripoff joker mask? I see nothing new nor fresh. Wait, I take that back. There was no DEH. I'll take that as a positive change!

It makes a tiny amount of sense with Balor asking to be written out for a while, but the completely random feud they had that would never end should trump that. Bray needed a bigger return than random TV segment against a babyface that had just lost.

on Twitter Bray seemed to indicate that he and Finn "owed them" over the match that they never had so it makes some sense.

So Bray debuted with his stupid clown mask and attacked Finn? Meh.
Now, Funhouse Bray vs. Joe is a program that would've peaked my interest despite creative sucking and Joe's perpetual state of bitchitude. I think they'd make it work.
