This entire angle is deeply off-putting to me. It presents pregnant women as manipulative, emotionally unstable and narcissistic, and perhaps deserving of reprisals, when the majority of domestic violence against women occurs begins during the woman's first pregnancy. I really don't see the humour in it; it's so incredibly poorly written and so offensive that I'm convinced that Vince is writing all of this by himself. The sooner the Bennetts are shipped off to _Main Event_ and forgotten, the better. I think you are looking into something that is not there. But stilk yeh there is no humor on it,it is just abuse. Eeeeh, I can agree but considering the people involved in the company, I never rule out anything. I’ll still stand by my stance; The only people who look stupid doing this is the company that pitches this idea after signing him to a FIVE YEAR contract.

Y'know, it's funny.
I mean, personally I'd sell my dignity for half a million dollars a year for five years.
But I didn't travel around the world perfecting my craft and throwing myself on wooden planks for money.

I just like how on ryder's tights were the words "still here"
I do kinda feel bad for the unborn child's future in wrestling though, while he/she may be able to get by with mom's promo ability/heat getting- getting either or both parents' wrestling ability is going to lead to staring at the lights for the great majority of their wrestling career. valet/manager may be the child's best bet.

Why sign the guy if this is the idea you have for him? It's not like Mike Bennett is going to lead AEW or ROH to some sort of boom period, so if you think he sucks just get rid of him and he can go somewhere else where he can at least just be the marginal wrestler that he is instead of a total joke. To be able to do THIS.

So this is kinda punishment... I guess... Possibly also since they signed them both then Mike got injured and took rehab at the same time ... then when he was ready to come back Maria got pregnant and the original gimmick generally doesn't work without her. (I mean I think they should have just had him be over enthusiastic dad to be Mike Kanellis while she was out... but still... ) So I could see Vince or the writers just mad that basically every time they have something... some real world situation stops them from using them... Not that it makes it ok... or good television...

Before WWE was dragged kicking and screaming into their halfassed "evolution", that's pretty much how all the women were booked. Sad that they've brought back that particular stupidity.

It's the kind of genius that buries you deep in the undercard, calls your professionalism into question and hurts your prospects of getting another contract with WWE, let alone working for any other promotion, when the current one is over.

I'm not sure I would care about any of that with 2.5 million in the bank. And if his being on TV right now is his punishment, people like Buddy Murphy and dozens of others would kill for that kind of televised punishment.

If this was any other job, I’d get the unprofessional stuff but this is a company that for some reason punishes up and not down. Remember when JTG slagged the company on Twitter about not being on TV and his “punishment” was being one of the people Ryback squashed. “Oh no” he probably thought “I now get to be on TV! That’ll teach ME!”

He's a good wrestler, his look is okay if a little generic, the clip with Drake shows we may have underestimated his mic skills the reason he became a meme in this fine parish is he has no personality and no presence so even if a petty, childish punishment Mike "the cuck jobber" Kanellis at least now has an identity even if its one that is designed to make him look bad, if he puts his thinking cap on, runs with it and has a hell of a lot of luck this 'punishment' could be the best thing to happen to him as it'll get him on TV and even some sympathy pops or ironic smark pops....better than crickets at least.
Remember how they tried to get Henry to quit his contract by humiliating him, he ended up turning his sex pest character into the lovable Sexual Chocolate gimmick and probably won a lot of backstage respect that led to a HOF career. Kanellis turning his 'cuck' gimmick into a future HOFer is optimistic to say the least but more casuals know his name with each passing week, who knows where that leads to...

He was ripped as Hell when he feuded with Moose in TNA not too long ago and he had hair. Now he's Justin Credible.
