{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler} I was honestly amazed so many people were hyped for the Ward and Wuhl cameos there since it was basically saying the 1966 and 1989 Batman universes have now been totally destroyed. I was kind of offended by it. Or that for all intents and purposes Kate Kane is now the Earth 1 (as in real earth) version of the Bat character.
I had no idea who this Corrigan guy was, so Oliver becoming The Spectre is utterly baffling. I looked up the character and did recognize the look but the guy last night hardly looked like that. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW} The thing is with the BatMan 89 cameo much like I choose to with the SV cameo that could be just some other version and there is obvious evidence to this.
The news paper that reads Batman captures Joker....the same one that fell who knows how many stories to his pretty obvious death
Or that the Bat Signal was BatGirls symbol and not Michael Keatons Batman. {Spoiler}{Spoiler} Or it’s all fictional and doesn’t actually matter that much?
Like, I get the idea of thinking it’s some other interpretation or whatever but, like...this isn’t like the comics multiverse where other titles are stopping or they no longer exist. Those titles still exist. The references were just saying this is a much wider thing then just the Arrowverse which considering DC’s wide TV and movie history, that’s neat as hell.
I have the whole of Batman ‘66 downstairs. If I go downstairs and they’re dust or a white light just envioped them, THEN I’d be worried.

Bruce is MIA on Earth-1 and Batwoman's whole thing is she feels obligated to stand in in her cousin's place. From an out-of-universe perspective, I'd say it's like Supergirl where they didn't want their more famous cousin to shadow over the intended main character. There's probably also internal politics in play between WB Films, WB TV, and DC Comics. Maybe we'll see Earth-1 Bruce in the flesh down the line, though I doubt it will be Kevin Conroy again.

I would still endorse Chris O’Donnell showing up to play Robin from the Schumacherverse again but he’s Nightwing now.

The Snyder Cut exists... in the Antimatter Universe.

The Snyder Cut exists... in the Antimatter Universe. I mean, that’s all he has. Why do you think he’s destroying universe and Woody’s Blu-Rays? They transfer to the Anti-Matter universe.

{Spoiler} I kinda called Ollie becoming the Spectre. I figured that's how he can remain a presence in the Arrowverse, and as has been mentioned it's a take on Hal as the Spectre. Also, he already has the green hood for the job.
And yeah, the fact that they just killed ALL the Earths strangely enough guarantees that they will be brought back at some point.

So, I haven't seen any of these shows in like, two years, and watched the first 2 episodes of this event OnDemand, because the hype I had been seeing won me over.
It's amazing how I'm simultaneously able to follow it, and at the same time being totally lost.
But assuming it was supposed to be the same Earth, this event did Superman Returns dirty.

Well, to be fair, Superman Returns did Superman Returns dirty. There is so much potential for brilliance there, and the plane scene is absolutely f***ing amazing, but that movie could’ve been so goddamn good. F***ing Singer EDIT: And I think it’s actually a decent flick, but it could’ve been so much better.

I really like the twist they did on the "Batperson has Kryptonite" thing here.
Kate ends up with Bruce-99's Kryptonite (just flat out taking it? not even offered to her?), tells Supergirl she has it, they *sorta* do the "keep it just in case" schtick that Batman and Superman do...... but then when it comes time for Kate to basically confront Kara re: the book of Destiny and you think she might use it, Kara steps down from her stance and the whole thing reaffirms Kate's place as the paragon of courage. Using it as a Kate Kane building device when it's normally a Superman gaining Batman's trust one....very impressive.

{Spoiler}{SPOILER: CLICK TO SHOW}I just saw Routh Superman beat seven bells out of CW Superman. The iconic Williams theme, and a reference to Superman 3. Please, please, please make Routh an onscreen Superman regularly

It was a decent movie, and those characters did not deserve what happened to them, IMO.

I think it illustrates the different relationship between Kara and Kate compared to how Bruce and Clark usually do it. Bruce and Clark can be friends, sure, but Bruce is also paranoid and always thinking of contingencies just in case. With Kara and Kate, Kate already trusts Kara to do the right thing. That's why she didn't even bother with the Kryptonite during that confrontation and it showed why she is the Paragon of Courage: her trust in her friend gave her the courage to stand up to her without needing it as a backup.

Please, please, please make Routh an onscreen Superman regularly Sadly this event comes at the tail end of his tenure with Legends, and presumably the CWverse. The parting messages from CW and him leave the door open for future appearances, but as a regular it looks like he's done.

From what I can tell, both Brandon Routh and Courtney Ford (who plays Nora Darhk on Legends) are leaving the show as regulars of their own volition as opposed to being fired. Maybe they want to take some time off for family time together. Routh also mentioned on his confirmation that he is leaving that this is the longest he's ever worked on any single project.
