Samantha Morton is a great actress, but I am glad Alpha is dead.

Carol should have been waiting in the cabin to cut Alpha's head off. Who is the leader now? Beta?

I said this in the other thread about stuff going too long but I think the Whisperers arc should have ended at midseason and then they could move on to The Commonwealth, which is what I would guess this Eugene story is leading to.
One thing about the last season and a half: TWD is a better show now without Rick. The problem with Rick after a point is that he just sucked all the air out of the room, and his leadership was consistently terrible. Wherever he went it seemed like chaos and death followed. Ezekiel tried in the last season to pick up a mantle of leadership only to have his plans totally blow up in his face, but since then everything is pure chaos. There's no leader right now on Walking Dead, and I think it's made things far more suspenseful. No one has any answers right now.

The group had been through so much that nothing really phased them so with the cast we knew beginning to dwindle off, the threats felt real now as opposed to a ticking clock until they got out the situation Of course you had stupid shit done like killing off Carl which in my opinion was peaked their stupidity after they didn't learn from the Negan finale situation. They broke it down, got back to what they were good at in raising the stakes and creating legit danger for each member and it has worked a charm

i think the big question from this episode is this ..... WHO IS THIS SUPER BETA??? ?.?.?.?.? welp they surprise us again with a not season ending death of a main character, unless of course THEY DO!, but that wasn't the biggest shocker ..... i can always tell when a character ain't in the place where they are going, and knew pretty instantly that lydia wasn't in the same shack! and if you thought daryl and carols relationship is arsed up now?

Good episode.
They should have got some famous rockstar or something as Beta, someone like Rob Zombie, so when he was partially unmasked the audience would have had "hey, it's him". Or Kane, that would have been neat if it turns out Apocalypse Kane is a complete psycho.

I'm not too sad about Michonne leaving.
Liked her originally when she was the silent badass.
For me, her character was ruined as soon as she became super mom Michonne Grimes
I just never bought her and Rick as a couple.

They had to give her some of the comic Andrea tendencies due to the relationship but Andrea still had her bad ass moments due to being the sniper Once Andrea got killed in the TV show a lot of characters took on diff characteristics. Add on the fact Carol basically became the new Michonne and was never killed off

I didn't mind it at the time as it really was a shocking death and showed they really are venturing away from the comics in terms of decisions (tho you can argue they did that with Sophia) The biggest thing they didn't account for was how popular characters like Daryl and remaking Carol would become. Rick always had diff 2nd in commands whenever someone got killed but with Daryl, someone like Tyrese lost some character. Michonne is a mixed bag, I like her character arc in the comic a little more but she fulfilled her role

Terrible sequencing of episodes. Michonne leaving might have been a big deal but after last week's ending it just felt like one of those dull filler episode they do (a lot!) where you just want them to get back to the main storyline.

Not sure I'd totally agree, after last week, which would have been a great season finale, anything short of Beta immediately leading a full on assault would have been a massive step down. Better to have it be something away from that, so it can't be a direct comparison, and have a major event, the departure of a main character. It might not have worked for you, but I can definitely see the logic.

I don't agree, her leaving fits into the bigger picture even if she isn't around for it

I finished the final season of the games tonight. It was okay. The fact that the company making the games was shut down mid-way through making the games was sadder than anything that happened in the final season. It was a good game, albeit just an interactive movie with very little challenge. It left things open enough that should there ever be interest to continue it they could/

I wonder what season 11 will be about. Pure speculation on my part but I imagine this finale is gonna be about them taking down Beta. Then we will have the movie with Rick, Michonne, Jadis and Heath. Then season 11, I imagine will be Maggies return and a new storyline/group {Spoiler}{Spoiler}The Commonwealth? They are in a headquarter like setting, right? I imagine that's where they will try find the cure and lead to the final season

Commonwealth def seems to be the next destination so we are entering the end game for Walking Dead essentially since that is the last arc
I'm guessing the movies will be the way the universe wraps up
