and neither did CRYSTAL PALACE as WOLVES also snatched a defeat from the jaws of a big dog and got a point for a 1-1 score and apparently MANCHESTER UNITED need that kind of luck HUDDERSFIELD need a bit of a miracle at the moment, 4-2 loss to WEST BROM CELTIC and RANGERS continue to beat the lesser teams in scotland

Terrible performance from Arsenal by the sound of it but got the win that’s the important thing.
Liverpool dug in in the end 2nd half against Chelsea to win their 15th Premier League game in a row. More importantly they have 6 wins out of 6 this season in the league.

Two seasons in a row after six games, Liverpool have 18 points. No team’s ever done that.

So here are my takes from the weekend.
-Liverpool aren't losing this title. I don't care how good City are, this Liverpool team has got IT -Tottenham are never going to stop bottling. It's just too deep in the teams DNA right now -Marco Silva is a conman. -Quique Sanchez Flores will be gone by December -Mating Tyler should step down from commentary. His work on the Chelsea/Liverpool game was woeful. The once great man is now a shell of a commentator. -(And lower down the leagues) Middlesbrough are worse than the mediocrity that I feared and are now in for a relegation fight.

Silva isn’t the man to take Everton forward. They must have aspirations to make it to, say, where Spurs are now but they have a pretty poor squad imo. Defensively they are nowhere close to top 4 level imo and losing Gueye to PSG was a massive blow.

I know Messi is a wonderful player & one of the all time greats but if Big Virg doesn't win the Ballon D'Or for the 12 months he has had then no defender will be ever be able to win that award again.

Those FIFA awards were terrible, especially that airhead female presenter. Van Dijk should have won, but it's not surprising to see FIFA still kissing Messi's ass. I also found it funny that the president of FIFA is talking about racism in Italian football, as if he can't take action. If the Italian FA won't do something about it, as they clearly won't, punish Italy by kicking them out of the World Cup.

Defenders and goalkeepers are going to find it impossible to win World Player of the Year especially after the year Van Dijk or even De Ligt had. The players and Managers voted for Messi at the end of the day so blame them.
Spurs lol.

As woeful as Arsenal have been at points already this season (2nd half Vs Villa and cup game at Forest last night not withstanding), at least I can still point and laugh at Tottenham.

The night the lights went out in Burton. Looks like match abandoned. Apparently there’s power cuts in Staffordshire tonight, so it’s not the fault of the club.
And apparently it’s about to restart again. Makes sense as there’s only 15 minutes left (barring penalties).

Didn’t realise they hadn’t been stopping the clock every time the lights went out. Just the 28 minutes of stoppage time at Burton.

Barcelona have been found guilty of tapping up Antoine Griezmann and have been fined a whopping... £260.
Really showing them who's boss, UEFA.
