The best bit of January business, bar none. And he told Manchester United to f*** off, sigh what we’re reduced to. Timo Werner would also laugh at United offering him a deal. He's a Leeds supporter and Roy Keane effectively ended his dad's playing career. I suspect him being linked to us was part troll-job, part bargaining tactic to get a better contract offer from Dortmund.

I’ve no problem with Klopp playing a youth side yesterday and making sure the first team players get their short winter break. I also admire him for taking a stand against the amount of games being played. I’m also really happy that it was a sell-out as Shrewsbury will get even more money out of it.
That said, I do think Klopp could have easily been there as Manager. If it was an away tie hundreds of miles away I might be more willing to accept him missing it but it wasn’t, it was at home. Klopp is one of those rare Managers who even the supporters of his clubs bitterest rivals begrudgingly seem to like, shit like this won’t keep it that way.

Klopp probably thought that staying away indicated that he trusted his U23 manager and players to do their thing without him, and they did anyway.

MLS revealed the kits for their 25th season
The nicest thing I can say about them is that they are indeed kits.

The Premier League clubs have voted to return the closing date of the summer transfer window to September 1st. Bloody stupid idea to move it in the first place.

saw the BSC glasgow v hibernian tie earlier, the non league side put up a decent fight too, even going two down and losing 4-1 but getting to the last 16 is a great achievement

Sheffield United now 2 points off a Champions League place. What a season they’ve had.

I'd love to see Sheffield United playing Barca and Bayern next season.

City's been banned from Champions League for 2 years. Well now, isn't that a pity?

They'll appeal, but if it's rejected, Guardiola is definitely gone.

Has there been any conformation on what happens with English teams in the Champions League for the next two years? City are very likely to finish in the top four, does the CL spot then go to the team in fifth?

Presumably if the ban is upheld, the CL place will go to the fifth placed team. I'd love Sheffield United to get it.
