While not a bad idea in theory, Goldberg is no Bruno. Hell, Goldberg at his best was no 80's Bruno. Nevermind Goldberg now.
It could work. But I'm skeptical.
And if that's the case, to potentially waste what rub Goldberg has left to give on Ziggler...? ...Uh..

Goldberg's gimmick should be a guy who hosts an infomercial in sunglasses

The Goldberg/Heyman relationship might be my favorite in pro wrestling. They're just a couple of mensches cutting it up.

Bruno was used as a draw to older fans at the box office and to put over up and coming stars......... so let's announce him 6 days before SummerSlam and give him a match with a midcarder no1curr's about anymore who has been with the company for 15 years. And watch him emasculate Mike "Phase 4" Bennett.

He also had guys ranting about how WCW's old guard held them back, and declared that he would cut the head off anyone over 40 in his grand plan for TNA. He's pro youth when talking about his plans from the outside, but on the inside of a major promotion he'd put a bucket of grave dust out there to wrestle if he thought he could get some mileage out of doing so. He actually said he’d fire all but one or two 40+. Use one to build up new stars, Kurt Angle at the time, and if you have the right guy use one as that occasional mid card ass whopping to boost ticket sales or pop a rating. He’s never once said older stars have no value, just that you need to know how to use them effectively or you’re just kneecapping the younger talent. IIRC, Paul had planned to sign Daniel Bryan after he got fired from WWE after tiegate, and book him as a submission wrestling machine leading to a final showdown with Kurt Angle.

Bruno actually never lost via pinfall or submission during that run. He would lose via DQ, count out, or no-decision finish. He agreed to do a clean pin loss against Savage but Savage refused to go along with it because he had too much respect for him.
Honkytonk man also said if they ever had proposed him pinning Bruno during their mini feud he would have refused out of respect.
