Presenting the Class Act Express-It locker answering machine made by Worlds of Wonder (the same people who made Teddy Ruxpin):
I would love to know if anyone actually bought this thing and found it useful when they were a teenager.

Fascinating stuff. I can only imagine that it was horribly abused, tho, even with it's system.
From Reddit:
How it works (as explained by my friend):
"There was a microphone thing that you could mount onto the vents of the locker door which connected to a tape recorder you could place on the shelf inside your locker. Then, you'd get three beepers to give to your friends. The beepers would activate the 'record' function. It would allow them to record a message for specified length of time (like 15 seconds) before shutting off.
The problem was that the beepers could activate ANYONE'S answering machine. So people thought it would be funny to just walk down the halls pressing their beeper over and over, activating anyone's answering machine."
