So Popeye's released their new spicy chicken sandwich this month. I saw a lot of reviews for it and it was interesting to me since I've never seen so many reviews on random websites for the thing. Dudes were calling it the best chicken sandwich on the market, saying it even blows Chik-Fil-A's out the water. CFA's been killin it for years so I was curious.
Bruh...it's legit.
Not only is it more food than CFA's but the chicken tastes better, pickles taste better, spicier, cheaper and the best part? You don't have to deal with long lines. How could you not try it if you've got a Popeye's near?
Just wanted to make this thread because I thought people were playing around. You know, you see a low of reviews for something, figure it's just a lot of promotion and come to find out it's not legit but hey, this is.

Been meaning to try it. Got a Popeyes a few blocks from me so def going to try it probably this weekend

Glad to see this, I’ll grab one this weekend. Since Chic-Fil-a was mentioned, has anyone had their new Mac and Cheese? It looks legit as f*** and is getting good reviews.

I love their sides... Dirty Rice.. the mashed potatoes with that gravy.. the biscuits.. so good... I could make a meal out of the sides alone.

I really wish I had a Popeyes closer to me. Local chicken place is great but it's not fast food. Meanwhile I had a Popeyes near my college and it was great. A lot better than KFC.

Damn, I won't step foot in my local Popeye's and don't have another round that I can think of. Used to love their beans and rice. Love Wendy's though, spice in the chicken and not in the sauce or breading.

There's this guy who stands outside my neighborhood Popeyes talking/growling to himself and occasionally he'll just start wildly swinging at the air.
That has stopped exactly ZERO people from walking around him to get inside.

That’s good. Yet another reason to never set foot inside a Chick Fil-A again. Maybe it's because it was hyped so much before I actually tried it for the first time, but I've never thought much of CFA. And that's before the whole controversy about it started.
It was similar to when I experienced In N Out for the first time when I went out to California.
On that note, Popeyes is probably the one fast food place I've been to that's been hyped and lived up to it.

I miss our Popeye's. I used to live off of those chicken strip/red beans and rice/cheese wraps they used to have. Nice on the go meal for cheap.

I use to do that for lunch often.Had a Popeyes next door to work. Get a large dirty rice and 2 biscuits and it made a good lunch. Too bad the Popeyes in town has the worst service I have seen. 7 outta 10 visits they get your order wrong. And not the normal oh they forgot an item. More like I asked for 2 normal pieces of dark and 2 spicy pieces of dark. Get home and they gave me 4 spicy pieces of dark. Add in that to drive to town is 20 minutes for me. I refuse to eat there until I hear the service has improved. But yes Popeyes has the best chicken for a chain place. Their naked spicy strips were great. |
