Lawler was always terrible. The fact that he and J.R. are considered some amazing pairing is almost entirely on the back of J.R. All Lawler was good for was sucking up to heels and screaming PUPPIES JR!!!!! PUPPIES!!!!!!

Triple H realizing he has multiple new champs he could bust out his beloved "After face finally wins the title they've been chasing, they shockingly lose it to a new monster relatively quickly" trope with:

Not talking about him as a human being here, so don't need to get into that...
I think Vince was definitely good for the WWE in the 80s (along with his creative team) and then the late 90s to the mid 2000s. Both onscreen and behind the scenes.
But after about 2009, other than a few decent calls, he's been a huge hindrance to the product as he just grew out of touch. He grew more and more stubborn and stopped listening to the audience *almost* entirely.
This version of Vince probably would have never turned Rocky Maiava heel and kept pushing him as a hated babyface for years.
Of his ever growing control-freak nature- limiting the way people talk was a huge bugbear to me. I hated hearing people, especially poor Cole, being forced to talk in buzzwords like robots rather than human beings.
His allowing Dunn to ruin the way the product looks with camera cuts was another terrible thing that just kept getting worse and worse.
I'm so glad he's gone.
Everything feels so fresh now. I remember multiple times a decade ago feeling like maybe the product was changing. But now it finally is. Everything is getting better. Trips is doing a great job.
Vince and Dunn are gone and it's fantastic!

I couldn't find a sensible thread.
Can we talk about John Cena's massive bald spot he was clearly self-concious about?

(No matter how many times Scarlett tells him that hhh will just talk to him at a show)

I noticed keeping the hat on as long as possible and then slicking his hair back. I honestly don't get why he has taken time to get a hair transplant or whatever it's call now. I wouldn't look down on my if he did, but it's his choice

Was gonna make this its own thread but thought this is more useful for it
It's a fake sport so it doesn't really matter but the lineage is more than a little messed up by this point.
Roman was the World champion (WWE champion?) and Universal champion combined and I believe unified into one belt. So that's two lineages combined.
Before that the belts has been split and unified a few times before the universal title was created. Orton and Cena in about 2013/2014 were champions and that got unified for Brock I believe after he beat Cena at Summerslam. Before that other world titles had been unified into each other in 2002.
I may have missed some.
Now they made another world title, with no lineage or history, that to me felt very secondary as a championship, because they couldn't get the belt off Roman for years. I bet that ends up unified with what Cody holds now eventually.
Do you believe they will probably unify the belts again?
I do, possibly within the decade going off their history.

Despite being significantly shorter, I was far more annoyed at how long Seth and Gunther’s reigns were than I was with Roman’s.

Why was the Youtube Douche wearing Iggles Green last night instead of his usual gold and black? He's in Philly and the Heel in the match, don't change up your gear.

If we’re bringing back old things that went away in WWE, I’d love to see the return of entrance videos.

The final six in the men's Royal Rumble were Cody, Punk, Drew, Gunther, Sami and Priest.
I'd say they were all relevant at Wrestlemania

Michael Cole acknowledged the guys that feed him WM statistics during the LA Knight vs AJ Styles match. I've never heard a WWE announcer do that before, and I think A) real sports do that sort of thing all the time. B) it takes away nothing from the product. C) publicly recognizing people that do a good job is a great way to build morale in your company. So I'm all for it.

On the radio station they have on at work they talked about Wrestlemania today and the host was like "Oh man I used to watch wrestling but don't anymore, I had to watch this weekend because the Rock was there. Also the Undertaker! Remember him?" and said nothing else about any other wrestler.

So I just finished watching NXT for the first time. First of all, I was told this was the horniest wrestling show. I was lied to!
It was an enjoyable show but I really got tired of Booker constantly saying 'oh yes'.
Inadvertantly funny moment when Vic Joseph says "don't miss a moment of this tag match!" and they instantly go to a 5 minute commercial break.
