So, about a year and a half ago, I started collecting old WWF Coliseum Video tapes. There was an eBayer who was selling a lot of 6 of them brand new for $25 and they were a good deal. I now have over 50 of them, with the recent acquisitions of WWF Grudge Matches, Wrestling's Biggest Smallest Strongest Strangest, Mega Matches & a better copy of Most Unusual Matches. I'm wondering if anybody else had or still has a collection of the Coliseum tapes.

I only have three that I got from a video store that was going out of business. I got the first two Manias and the History of the WWF World Heavyweight Championship. They were still in their original clam shell cases. I wanted the History of the Intercontinental Title that I had seen in that store before but I guess it was already sold.

My small collection consists of Most Unusual Matches, Inside the Steel Cage, Survivor Series 88, High Flyers, Wrestling Superheroes, Royal Rumble 94, Wrestlemania X, Super Slams, Survivor Series 95, Confirmed Hits, and Wrestlemania 13 (probably the rarest one of the bunch as it came out during the final year of Coliseum videos).

I found some on Beta at a flea market several years ago for like 3 bucks each. I have no way to watch them, but I like having them.

I never had more than 4 or 5 Coliseum vids in my collection at any given time, but that's an impressive collection.

That’s pretty cool. Outside of some PPV shows I remember having Smack Em Whack Em, Grudges Gripes Grunts and Invasion 92, but that was it.

I kinda think its weird that I go to flea markets and thrift stores all the time and NEVER see any 80s-early 90s Coliseum Home Videos. If I do see VHS tapes its usually the late 90s Stone Cold comps or DX or PPVs circa 2001-02 like Invasion.

They were priced to be bought by video stores, and if you wanted to buy one yourself, you had to order it. WWF Home Video tapes were sold everywhere and were much cheaper.

ANd unlike say Jerry MCguire when video stores closed they only had 1 copy of the WWF tapes. SO They sold fast. Where as stuff like Jerry McGuire had 20 copies in most video stores. So they all didn't sell and that extra stock got dumped into thrift stores. In all my years of collecting VHS,30+ years now,I have only found 3 WWF vhs that are pre-Attitude era and 2 WCW tapes. All the other wrestling tapes I have found were not at thrifts/junkstores.

I miss my Coliseum Video VHS tapes so much. From the mid 80s going forward I viewed them constantly, especially The Best of WWF series. When I separated from my wife in 2007 I left them all behind and I regret not bringing them with me.

I had maybe thirty or do but they’re all gone now. With the exception of my Wrestlemania 1-15 VHS boxset, that I still have.

About 2 years ago I started my (obsessive) journey into owning every WWF released tape from 1985-94. Most are converted straight from the VHS release. PPV’s are 2 disc sets with the original broadcast and Coliseum versions. This picture was taken while I was still missing a couple, but as of now I’m only missing 1 Silvervision tape, (The History of Summerslam) which has been quite a pain in the ass to obtain.

Is there a list of the OP's videos? Just to see what (if anything) they're missing and maybe possibly someone has it?

Damn, I would love to rifle through that collection. I'm convinced there are matches on those old tapes that will never be released again.
