I genuinely loved the Dennis the Menace cartoon from the 80's. Theme song was stupid catchy. There was another Dennis The Menace cartoon from 1993 that ran for 1 season on CBS Saturday mornings: www.imdb.com/title/tt0287192/Most likely put out to build the hype for the live action Dennis film that came out around the same time. I think this was a TMNT case where the cartoon crossed over from syndication to Saturday morning. DiC still produced the SatAM version, for instance, and I remember it having the same theme song with a different opening. Speaking of DiC cartoons that once had or would have a SatAM version...most of us remember Heathcliff and the Catillac Cats. How many also remember the ABC cartoons from Ruby-Spears? Which had Heathcliff cartoons alongside Marmaduke ones, or of R-S originals Dingbat and the Creeps. (all of the above were reran on the syndicated version of the Plastic Man Comedy-Adventure Show)

I vaguely remember there being a "Baby Blues" cartoon, whose theme song was, bizarrely enough, "It's All Been Done" by the Barenaked Ladies. It aired on Adult Swim back in the day. Adult Swim liked their obscenely short series, though I think every one of them that they showed after they were cancelled by other networks were pretty good. Baby Blues , Oblongs , and Mission Hill were all quality shows that The WB only gave 13 episodes each to. To be honest, I was surprised Adult Swim never tried to pick any of them up to produce themselves. Are you telling me that anyone really wanted 10 episodes of The Drinky Crow Show, 13 episodes of Stroker & Hoop, or two whole freaking seasons of Assy McGee over extra episodes of any of those shows? Then again, I wish we got more Moral Orel, so apparently it is my lot in life to not get the nice things I want.

The KK cartoon was toned down and simplified from the original strip. For instance, the ambiguiety of KK was taken away and it was clearly stated that KK was female. While that incarnation of KK wasn't completely faithful to the original strip, some of the older shorts based on the character were closer to the original strip. There were something like three or four attempts of that nature in the pre-TV theatrical shorts business, going back to the silent era.

Toonerville Folks had three animated shorts back in the '30s. I used to watch them on some old cartoon VHS tapes when I was little.
