How bad is Slaughter Sport aka Tongue of the Fatman?

With all the excitement about the Sega Mega Drive Classic I thought I should try out some games on my Snes Mini.

I had never heard of Slaughter Sport but thought it might be like Mutant League Football. I was wrong it's a fighting game so I thought to myself that's cool I enjoy fighting games even the iffy ones.

...Yeah I was wrong, this game is so incredibly bad. The movement is clunky, the hit detection non-existent, and the damage output from your moves is minimal.

Why is this game never mentioned when talking about bad fighting games? It makes Shaq Fu look like a million dollars and Ballz competent.

I used to see ads and mentions of this game ALL THE TIME in magazines. Wanted to play it due to the legend I built up for it because of this. I guess I can be glad I didn't.

What's sad is to this day I remember the name of "Mondu the Fat".

Shaq Fu really isn’t that bad as a game. I mean it’s cheesy, but not bad.

I rented it not long after it came out. It is a bad game. Not the worst game on the Genesis. But a bad game none the less.

The Genesis version is even worse than the computer versions, and the computer versions were already garbage to begin with.

It's better than "Rise Of The Robots" but it's still shit.

Kim Justice has it as her worst Sega Genesis game. She's done a lot of stuff on the Genesis and after playing this for an hour or so, she's dead right. It also doesn't help that the people who made this in Razor Soft are the most inept people to make games.
