There’s a parallel universe in which F&G lasted five seasons and I want to go there.

With how reboot-happy the entertainment landscape is currently, I'm really surprised someone hasn't tried to pitch a reboot of F&G to the Netflixes or Hulus of the world..

Still my most favorite show of all time. Watched it on NBC the short time they aired it. Joined Operation Havurchuck to try to save the show. Paid a lot for the first release of the Yearbook edition of the show on DVD.

The best part of the show to me focus on the first year of high school. It's the point where everything is awkward and you are stuck between childhood and adulthood but really still closer to childhood. Shows that embrace that are few and far between.

Even though it was set 20 years before my high school years, it is the closest I ever saw my high school friends and life depicted on TV.
I've got a question for you...do you want to be Stud or a Super Stud?

I grew up watching stuff like Saved by the Bell and then got to high school and realized it was all bullshit. Then after high school I discovered Freaks and Geeks and it was like I finally saw a version I understood.

You're, like, my only friend Lindsay! And you're a total loser!
Love this show, awesomely cast (even down to the recurring roles), this and Undeclared, both cancelled way, way too soon

As sad as I was that this only lasted one season, almost every storyline was wrapped up in a way to make it feel like additional seasons wouldn't be able to hold a candle to it. Granted, that's mostly due to a rush job of closing things out, but I really don't know where they could've gone in subsequent seasons that'd build off what they had established.
