We enter the final year for Round One: 2019, which will only have Three lists. This is the First. Vote for your favorite movie from this part of this year, and, as always, explain your choice (if you like), as well as mention any other movies you might have seen on this list, below.

We will also accept Write in Votes (although, please mention it as such) for movies not included on the list I'm getting the choices off of. However, I will not remove any from the list (I can't by that point), so, if you want to make your case why a certain movie isn't a horror film, make it. Hell, you might end up swaying a few voters from going in that direction, but I can't/won't remove it from the list or DQ it

US has interesting ideas, but I wasn't completely blown away by the execution. But it's all I've seen from this list, so vote given!

With about two hours left in this poll, Us is winning by a decent lead.

Yeah, I think Us pretty much has this wrapped up. It was the only movie I saw on this list, but I don't feel bad about voting for it. Yes, it's not as good as Get Out, but it is quite interesting. I loved that they used the idea of Dopplegangers as the chief antagonists here, and once again with some clever social commentary. Keep them coming, Mr. Peele. Plus, this movie had probably the best usage of "F*** Tha Police" by NWA that I've ever seen, so, I had to vote for it for that reason alone.


OK....next list coming up, but before I post this, I want to lay out how the second round is going to go, as one can really break it into three parts.

In Part One of Round Two, we'll be deciding Best of the Decade for the years 1919 to 1969, as those will be easy enough.

In Part Two, which will be the longest part of this, I'll be going year by year for 1970-2019, as we try to whittle these lists down for....

Part Three, where we'll get our Best of Decade for 1970-2019.


After that, we'll have a list of movies left short enough to have them go one on one (unless in cases of a tie in the previous round, which will then become a random (as these matches will all be chosen) Three Way Dance, until we get down to our Finals for FAN's choice for Best Horror Movie of All Time, or at least the last hundred years. But that's looking down the line, as Round Two will take a bit.


First we have to finish Round One, though. We get one step closer to that in a few seconds.
