In its coverage of the MLB playoffs, TBS has been using TNT as a backup plan when the early game of the night is still in progress when the later game is ready to start, causing TNT's regularly scheduled programming to be delayed or preempted. That could possibly affect AEW tomorrow night if the first game on TBS (starts at 5:00 PM eastern) goes long.

I wonder if it'll affect the start time of the actual event. Because I'll be there live.

Is this going to happen often until the end of baseball season?
I hope not.

Is this going to happen often until the end of baseball season? I hope not. This would be the only time, as this is the end of the Divisional Series where TBS has two games in one day. The NLCS starts on Friday, and that will just be one game a day.

Maybe they would use another Turner channel (TruTV?) for the overrun of the playoffs? I would think AEW/Turner would've thought of this. I don't know.

Somehow, this will be blamed on Seth Rollins vs. The Fiend.

I guess its not as bad as being bumped for a frigging Dog Show (whatever the hell that even is)

Shows being pre-empted is why I've always hated sports. Baseball and its 10 hour games are the worst offenders of this.

Live cutaway to Orange Cassidy on the mound, being charged with delay of game for thee 19th time thus far, as he refuses pick up the ball.

Well, the National League side of the playoffs is heading towards sudden death games tomorrow and covering those games would be a big deal that's too big to be designated on smaller channels. If you're Turner Media, you might see more value in that than in the new wrestling show.

I guess Cartoon Network/Adult Swim won't be used because CN has programming at 8 (WE Bare Bears reruns) and they can't risk having parents complain that WBB repeats are being bumped for wrestling.

How about they do a split-screen, one with Baseball and one with AEW? They air the commentary for the baseball game until they go to commercial, then cut to the AEW commentary and back and forth.

There's TruTV and MLB Network for fallback plans, I imagine. Hell, that's what Fox did with Game 1 of Yankees-Twins so it wouldn't self-compete with Smackdown. Turner isn't going to pull an XFL-SNL incident.

Turner isn't going to pull an XFL-SNL incident.SD is going to be bumped from Fox for one week during the World Series, though. The plan is for AEW to run on TNT while TBS is showing baseball. That is going to happen. The only question is if the second game, which starts sometime between 8:00 and 8:30 eastern, will have to begin on TNT while the first game finishes.
