Best version of Rollins. I don't care how his voice sounds to people nor do I care that people said he cut a "bad promo." He was always killing it in the ring and no matter what he did character-wise I was down with it whether the Shield was a face or a heel. Whether he did singles, whether he worked on the team, regardless that was Seth in his best from an overall perspective to me. This is my favorite version of all three of these guys(although Mox is pretty damn cool this year) The later Shield reunions never felt the same to me. I kinda saw a dynamic of Dean being the unpredictable one, Seth being a bit of a sleazy douche(but a cool one) and Roman being the cool headed glue that holds them all together. Seth's current character of trying to be an inspirational do-gooder just doesn't fit for him. That one random week where he was going around bashing anyone who got in his way with a chair felt like a return to form, but then he just went back to being corny.

I bet him and Becky no sell each other’s orgasms. Unlikely, considering most snuggles with Seth have Becky say "I didn't know we'd started"

And how is he supposed to fix that? I can’t hold his voice against him as a criticism of him being a babyface, because we really can’t expect him to, for example, put on an accent and force a different voice on himself. You mean like Macho Man, Sgt. Slaughter, The Undertaker, and dozens of other performers over the years? Wasn't Machos voice pretty much his own (just maybe dialed up a bit)?

Yeah, there's a clip of him in that A&E special talking normally and he still has a pretty gravelly voice (I think he also mentioned that doing the stage voice had affected is regular voice over the years). Like how Hogan's normal speaking voice is still this deep baritone, but not his actual "Hulk" voice. Slaughter actually demonstrated the difference between his two voices on the same special and there was a noticeable difference between his rather soft-spoken normal voice and him growling "Listen up, maggot!!".

I remember Rollins being pretty over in ROH when he first turned face. However, at the time, he'd been getting over with his ring work, not cutting many promos, and the fans were begging for him to leave the Age of the Fall. Tyler Black worked as a face initially because he had Jimmy Jacobs, the most despicable heel in the company at the time, to work off of. Plus, he teamed with Jacobs both during the beginning of his ROH run, as well as Wrestling Society X, so Jacobs did most of the heavy lifting on the mic.

Off topic, but what special was this? I'd really like to see it.
