Doesnt matter who they say is in control, in the end Vince has the final say in everything.

If this was the end game, why not just put Prichard there to begin with? Bischoff came back in after him, they could have easily skipped the step of having Bischoff uproot his entire life. Something definitely happened. Dude was there just to be a big name representative to act like they were trying different things, then if that "direction" didn't work, they'd flex their corporate muscles and axe him and show that they're serious in making that change. Nothing more, nothing less. I honestly don’t think that is it, that seems like way too much to go through. I would not be surprised if Bischoff just stepped down.

I get the feeling it wasn’t working the way Bischoff wanted and he stepped down. He probably had opinions and ideas (whether they were good or bad who knows). And I’d assume Vince just kinda overstepped them all and it was a mutual split.

Why do I get the feeling that this was one last massive rib from Vince McMahon to Eric Bischoff? Just a reminder that: HAHA! I WON, PAL!!! After listening to 83 Weeks for the last few months and Bischoff detailing how him and his wife uprooted their entire lives to move from Wyoming to Connecticut because this was supposedly a long-term deal that's kind of what this feels like. I'm by no means a Bischoff fan but it feels really messed up. The only way it's not messed up is it Bischoff and McMahon were feeling things out, realized it wasn't going to work, and parted ways on good terms. Otherwise, it's a really messed up move.

Well this didn't last very f***ing long now, did it? Anybody up for betting on when Heyman quits it? Heyman will stay on camera as long as Lesnar wants to be there. Off-camera, it probably depends on how hands-on Vince is during XFL season. (So, y'know, six months.)

Eric B was just released according to TheWrap. Seems sudden I'm guessing he did something because no way I think they would fire him if Prichard brown nosed his way to that job

I love Bischoff as an on-screen character. Wouldn't mind have seen him pull some sort act where he claims he has a guaranteed contract with WWE and became a manager set on making things hell. He'd be a great voice for Cain, Lashley, AOP, etc.

Someone slipped up which led to this.

Someone slipped up which led to this. The way I read it is, it seems WWE hasn't lived up to their side in promising Eric something BUT if that's the case than Eric resigns as opposed to being fired just seems weird Either Eric was slacking backstage (which the catering comment would imply) or Vince and Co didn't give Eric the control he wanted and he said f*** this shit until he got fired Won't really know anything until an official word but WWE will be the beating stick on this unless they get cleared

Am I the only one who feels like Eric stepped down and wasn’t fired? Now, granted, we don’t know much. But, I just can’t seem to grasp what he did that was so much worse than what Heyman has been doing. Like, neither show has really changed much since either took over. And until, it seems like, early September it was reported Bischoff was just shadowing and getting his feet wet. There hasn’t even really been time for there to be significant change. I am very intrigued for some further details on what is going on here. When you have a person move across the country, it seems that would be done with the understanding that there is a period of time where they are immune to being shitcanned.

I have to be totally honest here, did anyone reeeaaallly think that Bischoff, or Heyman were going to have any say in what happened on TV? I dont even watch WWE and I still knew, when I seen that they were coming in that literally nothing would change.
WWE is Vince's baby. Until he let's go, that will never change. They could bring in Kevin Sullivan, Vince Russo, Jim Cornette and anyone else.. and you'd still get the exact same show because Vince has to be in control of everything.
WWE signed Bischoff to keep him away from AEW or anyone else, that's all it was. They have literally an entire writing staff. One guy was NEVER going to come in and have permission to change the formula. Anyone that thought Bischoff/Heyman were going to be top dogs (in the sense that they had the final say) is sorely mistaken.

It’s not something that’s uncommon in business to do. I know I talk about Michael Eisner a lot but his reign at Disney does have some similarities to Vince. One of the big things that happened, to try and spread the power he had after the passing of close friend Frank Wells was the hiring of Michael Ortiz as President. The problem right from the offset? Nobody listened to him. Everyone just went to Eisner for all decisions regardless because Ortiz had zero credibility to anyone in the team, Eisner pretty much set it up that way. and he pretty much left as quick as he arrived, merely months later. Eisner basically used it to prove that, well, he didn’t need to spread the power. It didn’t work out for him in the long term but that’s what happened. It might not be the same exact thing but to me, it’s absolutely believable Heyman and Bischoff we’re hired to act like things are changing and can very easily be pointed the finger to if stuff’s failing.

Eric is an old, handsome rich person and WWE catering must be next mother f***ing level to have a guy in that position leave his enormous ranch, untouched by humans for centuries in the perpetual heat and clean air to stand in a sport arena in Florida watching Mojo Rawley talc himself down while trying to think how to book Authors Of Pain
