There was this TV show in Japan that aired random matches from various micro-indies. On some of those matches there weren't that many more fans than on here.
They weren't televised, but when I was a rookie in 1996 and 1997, I wrestled on some free flea market B-Shows that Rougeau ran for guys to work on their stuff for the real shows, and on many of them, the audience was made up of people that walked by and glanced at us. Some of those shows, NOBODY stopped and sat. We weren't paid for that either.
His most successful flea market shows were the ones were he did food drives, the media hyped them and I guess people had a reason to come, after all, they gave a can of pumpkin pie filling, they were totally going to watch me and Charles B. Canadian trade headlocks, arm drags and shoulder blocks.
