Sid always felt like a broken roleplaying character. Huge bonuses to Charisma and Strength, with negative Intelligence and the Agility and Grace of a Stone Troll.
And +2 to all rolls when his main weapon is a squeegee

He was god awful in the ring for the most part, but man, his late '96 WWF run was nuclear (thanks in part to Shawn Michaels behaving like an absolute f***ing c***). The reaction he of all people was getting in MSG at Survivor Series that year was insane. The dynamic of the crowd is so surreal. When Shawn is attacking just the women are screaming and the whole arena but especially the men are roaring for Sid. And Sid is hilarious because he’s supposed to be the heel, but he’s pumping his fists and yelling “WHOS DA MAAAANN?” When Sid wins you can see a girl in the front row and she looks crushed. There’s a dude behind her and he’s loving it.

Sid was awesome, He just had a likable charisma to him (Plus the fact that he was a wrecking machine helped too).
His face pops at Survivor Series 96 while HBK was booed as Vince was verbally blowing him was funny

Sid is the guy to want to see beat someone's ass, heel or face. His Late '96-'97 run was awesome in the sense, behind all of the chaos(Austin, Bret, Vader & 'Taker), he benefited the most.

Sid over and over again in both WCW and WWF would be brought in as the big scary heel and the crowd would just like him and he'd start getting cheered. At a time when the crowd didn't really rebel too much against what the company wanted too.
He was awful in the ring but he had a weird charisma. He was great.

Yes, he was crap in the ring, but just look at him! In the future, when all humans are grown in test tubes and we can manipulate DNA to look however we want, every man on earth is going to look like Sid.

The Millennium Man was my first real exposure to Sid. It was a great gimmick, but the commentators seemed to alternate between playing it straight and calling it out for the farce it was, and that seemed to hurt everyone involved.
It's definitely one of those things I appreciate more in hindsight. He Powerbombed LA Park onto a bag of popcorn and counted it as a win, what's not to love.

OK, Sid was average at absolute best in the ring and he was, by all accounts, a total jerk who believed that his shit didn't stink when he was being groomed as the top guy in WCW. But, my god, I'll be damned if I didn't love the whole 'Millenium Man' shtick where Sid just would walk down to the ring and just powerbomb everybody in sight while Charles Robinson followed him around for whatever reason. Sid just oozed this wild charisma about him, it genuinely came across like he was a loose cannon and, considering what he did to Arn Anderson with a pair of scissors, maybe that wasn't a gimmick? But I think Sid is a prime example of someone who should've absolutely been a chore to watch due to his average ring work, and yet wound up being insanely entertaining just by being a flat out lunatic who liked to powerbomb cruiserweights. He wasn't very good on the Guitar with the Pistols either 😏

Seeing Sid was one of the things that made me a fan.
I will always have a soft spot for him, even though I could not name a single genuine good promo he has cut. I can't really name any good matches either, just moments, or times like in ECW when he killed Kronus.

Like Warrior, he had a strange charisma it's impossible to define, and both men never outstayed their welcome in a promotion. They'd arrive, do their thing then leave in a short space of time.

Sid has “it” in spades and is an all time great performer in the wrestling business. Sid is the definition of the over the top, larger than life, comic book side of pro wrestling that is severely lacking from today’s wrestling landscape. Because of his issues behind the scenes and his rocky relationship with WWE, he will never get the recognition he deserves as an all time great, and is kind of forgotten about almost.

Truly was the man! I think Sid is brilliant, particularly his 96-97 run.
