Am I the only one who misread that as "Benoit etc. etc."?

If Mandalorian does well I could easily see Favreau getting his own films. He's made a LOT of money for Disney, between Iron Man, Jungle Book, Lion King, and soon with Mandalorian.

They just made him CCO of Marvel Comics on top of his duties as head of Marvel Entertainment. These 2 left because they had too much work. Why would you possibly think Kennedy & LucasFil-- ah screw it, they probably will put Feige on Star Wars now. I mean...Star Wars has already had crossovers with Marvel in the past... In all seriousness though, having someone like a Feige to help build a proper "Star Wars Expanded Cinematic Universe" beyond the Skywalker Saga could be nothing more than a good thing for the franchise. The fact they've already got Jon Favreau involved with 'The Mandalorian' could help as much as he did getting Iron Man off the ground as well

It’s too bad, if there’s one thing Star Wars needs to get out of this rut it’s full-frontal nudity.

'Okay, so our only real pitch is we bring Leia back so she can make out with Luke more. They really seem to love that shit in the other thing we did. Why are you calling security?'

They've already shown how limited they are as writers when they aren't following a plan laid out by a much better writer.

....there was going to be another Star Wars trilogy? Two, actually. The aforementioned trilogy helmed by Benioff and Weiss, which looks to be dead in the water now they're gone, and a second by Rian Johnson, which is now likely to get fast-tracked.

Lol.. It’s kind of amusing how many people have almost made a Star Wars film in the last few years.

Lol.. It’s kind of amusing how many people have almost made a Star Wars film in the last few years. Really says something about how difficult it must be to work under the head of Star Wars, especially when it's so many top talent directors. Who's gonna leave a dream job like that without cause?

In Lord's and Miller's case, it was also a mini-actors' revolt and being on a completely different page from everyone else when they making Solo. That said, I'd love to see them do a LEGO Star Wars movie or an animated labor of love film like they did with Into The Spider-Verse.
And thinking about the people who have been left Star Wars projects (Benioff, Weiss, Trevorrow), they dodged some bullets. I was dreading Benioff and Weiss' Star Wars films and was expecting them to make Attack of the Clones (or insert your least favorite Star Wars movie here) look like The Godfather by comparison.

Benioff's filmography is really patchy. For every good/okay thing he's written (25th Hour, Kite Runner) you've got stinkers like X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Troy, and Gemini Man. Weiss literally has just Game of Thrones and one episode of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

I'm guessing Weiss has family connections to HBO somehow because he did literally nothing before being made showrunner of one of their most ambitious shows ever. It sure as shit wasn't on merit.

Josh Trank too. That was more of a self imposed dodged bullet.
