I am saying this for the third time. I was there that night. The man sitting directly in front of me was warned multiple times by venue security to calm down because he was really drunk and loud. Venue security finally threw the guy out, BECAUSE THERE WAS SECURITY WORKING THERE THAT NIGHT! Why does the myth continue that there was no security that night? Bubba singled that incident out because it involved Velvet. Bubba, nor Delerious, nor anyone else on the ROH roster page came up to deal with the drunk in front of me. Security handled that incident and Bubba handled the Velvet incident because his girlfriend felt disrespected. Are you sure it was actual arena security? It's quite possible they just grabbed a couple of trainees/jobbers that were hanging out backstage, put ROH t-shirts on them, and told them to act as security. That's different from arena security or trained security from a legit security company. I'd imagine the trainees would be a lot cheaper and a lot more likely to defer to Bully Ray in an incident then an off-duty police officer or the like would. These were regular Viking Pavilion security people in Blue shirts. Not matching ROH shirts. Nothing threatening about them, they certainly didn't look like wrestler trainees or off duty cops. But there was security.

I'm not saying Bubba is not to blame in this. I'm simply saying there was Viking Pavilion security working that night. I'm tired of reading about that because it's flat out not true.

I feel like Joey probably has a point about something, but f*** if I can understand a word he's saying. I need a Mercury to Earth translator.

Jesus wrestlers need to unionize. This is insanity. Why would they need a union, if they are wrestling for Christ?

Dear wrestling gods, I spent many years as a huge ROH fan. I still like a ton of their roster. I want it to succeed and be a place that more top-flight talent can get steady work now that the wrestling scene is getting healthier than it's been in many years. With that in mind, in a year where a million insane things have happened in this industry, please, please, please have an even semi-ethical and competent entity step up to buy this company away from Sinclair as soon as humanly possible. Love, All Longtime ROHbots Reading through this thread I was thinking of posting about how sad all of this makes me because ROH was the company that got me into independent wrestling and was really my gateway into hardcore wrestling fandom. It's so sad to see what the company is becoming. Anyway, you said it better than I could have so well done.

Same here. going to ROH shows back in 2005 in NYC were what got me solidly into the indy scene, and were some of the most fun and excitement I've ever had with wrestling. Seeing the company limp around and then become a shell of itself is sad, but they've made a lot of mistakes, not just in the last few years (I still say keeping the Briscoes under their employ is one of the biggest mistakes they've ever made), and one of the best things is that indy wrestling has gotten more diverse, more spread out, and more fun, so there's plenty of fun to be had out there that aren't dictated by an awful parent company. I truly feel like ROH has outlived it's usefulness to the scene at this point.

Joey Mercury is back, because this day in wrestling hasn't been crazy enough.

Joey Mercury is back, because this day in wrestling hasn't been crazy enough. How is it 3 AM and CM Punk appearing on WWE TV to call out Seth for being a bitch on Twitter isn't even the second biggest thing going on right now?

If someone told me that twitter feuds / drama was going to be the next big thing to catch on in wrestling after the podcast boom I never would’ve believed them.

Man, I just can't imagine why New Japan wouldn't want anything to do with ROH anymore.

So, uh... We're about to be getting into sexual misconduct now judging by the hinting there. This... is gonna get worse before it gets better. Yeesh.
