Telling people they should be killed on twitter is a fun, charming thing to do and not like. Against the rules of twitter and generally frowned upon by broader societal norms. Surely, it is the snowflakes and the marks who are just being babies.

Surely, it is the snowflakes and the marks who are just being babies. And there's certainly nobody out there who responds to rhetoric like this by actually carrying out the called for acts because they take it seriously. That has never happened I'm sure.

Cornette isn’t in the wrong here. Like seriously? Saying “ he should be hung in the parking lot for dressing that way” is such a benign comment to get this type of response out of a lot of you. What a way to make a mountain out of an ant hill, and I speculate most of you are fueled by your dislike for anything Cornette does. What response is it getting? "Wow, this is just another dumb comment from the dude". It's NWA who put out the statement in the first place before any big public backlash to my knowledge blew this up. And for that matter how is saying someone should be killed not 'in the wrong'? I don't even understand the point being made here. The people calling Corgan/NWA cowards for not sacking him. Like we get it, they are outraged. Yawn, move along, tomorrow they can be outraged by something else.

I've never understood how people become so enamoured with Cornette. Like, how do you end up with a 60-year old racist that hasn't seen significant success in 25 of those years as your ride or die?

And sure he can say Im outrage ,he can also f*** off as far as I care.Which I find funny because I have been pretty against PC culture overall and have always expressed distaste over these comments. If you say something is awful and take no action over it when you clearly can ,you are a coward

And yeah that's I guess the big thing here; it's not "PC culture" to just thank rampantly saying shitty things over and over is a problem, that should ideally be something everything can sort of agree on regardless of their ideology; hurling verbal abuse at people and saying they should be killed isn't a normal, socially acceptable behavior. This whole thing is f***ing weird.

I'm more on the side of fire him if he does it again... which'll probably be sometime in the next week because it's Cornette.

Just get rid of him. Cornette is an asshole and didn't know what made good wrestling in the 90s never mind 2019. Wrestling Observer readers from 1993, 2001, 2003, and 2006 call bullshit on that.

We have these weekly, and I usually try to be funny, but not this time, and whatever fallout, so be it. If you use Jim Cornette's hate, and when someone keep doing these hateful acts, just call it what is it, hate; if you use Jim Cornette as some avatar to fight the PC Culture, the "Cancel Culture", or the way your fake fighting show is changed, you have a really f***ing wrong value system.

And no, I wouldn’t have slapped Santino, but if a student had f***ed up my TV show (and I couldn’t go back and fix it), I’d be pretty hot, so I can understand Jim’s frustration with him.

It was during the commentary for this guy’s show. Apparently he was the ring announcer and the promoter. He was upset back then. He’s still upset now. It’s old news, but let the Cornette haters rage away. Cornette isn’t going anywhere.

In fact, if Cornette used the word "hung" instead of "hanged," then we're really talking about something else entirely I was scrolling through this thread seeing people say "hung" and just going like To be fair, it's generally correct to use "hung" instead of "hanged." The only exception is when you're talking about a person who died by hanging. Then you should say "hanged." But even then, the distinction isn't considered terribly important. Many people will accept the usage of "hung" in that context, even if it's not technically correct. It's more of a nitpicky thing.

The comment was made about two years ago. And him doubling down on the comment was three days ago so what's your point?

Do I think that Jim Cornette is one of the best promo cutters of all time? Yes, Yes I do.
Do I also think that it matters much more to be a good human being than it is to be a good promo cutter? Again, yes.
Do I think Jim Cornette is a good human being? f*** no!
Seriously, if this was anybody else had said half of the shit Cornette had said, then people'd be like "This dude is a piece of shit" but because it's Cornette, his cult of fans just go "No, you see, this is how it's OK that he said this horrible shit!"
Also, if you're a fan of Cornette, that's fan, but I'm sure even fans of Cornette are like "OK Jim, this is getting out of hand". Also, the Cult of Cornette is a daft name, for the record. Being proud of being in a cult is not a good thing!

Vince was out of touch by the late 90s and he's listed as best booker for three years in a row by these readers so not sure what this proves.
