It's a first for AEW Dynamite this week... the first ever Go Home Show! Full Gear is in Baltimore on Saturday night, but before then, they're in Horsemen Country, Charlotte, North By God Carolina! Again a reminder of discussion rules for both this show and NXT... officialfan.proboards.com/thread/592137/rules-discussion-weekly-aew-showsA couple of weeks ago, Cody was set to make a huge announcement when he was interrupted by Chris Jericho and the Inner Circle, and since then, their interactions have led to Dustin Rhodes getting his wrist smashed in. Tonight, ahead of the title match at Full Gear, Cody will finally get to make his announcement - will it be worth the wait? As for Jericho, Le Champion is in action just three days before Full Gear. Jericho teams with his Inner Circle cohort Sammy Guevara against Hangman Page and Kenny Omega in this week's main event. Both Page and Omega have different focuses at Full Gear - it's PAC for Hangman and Jon Moxley in a Lights Out Unsanctioned Match for Omega - but all eyes are on the Inner Circle tonight. Can they hand Jericho his first loss in AEW? PAC is busy tonight as well, as he looks to gather momentum against Trent? from the Best Friends. Trent? is a resilient singles competitor, but he's been more used to tag team action recently, so is he in a good position to handle PAC on his own? We'll find out... SCU became the first AEW Tag Team Champions last week, winning the tournament final against the Lucha Brothers. We'll need contenders for them at Full Gear, and two teams well positioned are Private Party and The Dark Order, who meet tonight. Will one of these teams get a big opportunity this weekend? AEW Women's Champion Riho returns after a couple of weeks away, after having successfully teamed with Kenny Omega in DDT in Japan. The champ is in tag team action tonight, teaming with Shanna who impressed in defeat last week, as they take on two people familiar with each other from EVE in the UK, Emi Sakura and Jamie Hayter. Will someone claim title contention in this match? Meanwhile, fresh off her win last week, Hikaru Shida looks to build her record up some more as she takes on Big Swole - will Shida book a return date with Riho soon? After getting back on track on Dark, Shawn Spears looks for another victory tonight, this time over Brandon Cutler. Rumour has it that Spears and Joey Janela aren't getting along, so maybe there'll be some involvement here heading towards Full Gear... All this and so much more tonight from 8/7c on TNT in the US, TSN in Canada and FITE TV worldwide!

Very happy to see a double Women's showcase tonight, they need it and fans are clamouring for more development for the girls so I'm all for it! Shida vs Swole could be really good.
Also the first Dynamite thread of the new AEW Board! WOOHOO!!

Yeah I hope its a step into the right direction with the women division, which has been the weakest point of AEW so far.

Britt and Nyla are nowhere near ready for that and whatever happened with Kylie happened. But they found some good women to showcase

But they found some good women to showcase The original pillars were definitely going to be Nyla, Britt, Allie, and Kylie in terms of the American side of the division Now? Baker looks like a bust even though they're still trying, Kylie just didn't fit, Allie's done nothing of note since the beginning Brandi feud and really looks lost without Rosemary, and Nyla is very green but she has upside. Looking elsewhere has so far looked like a good fix. Aside from Bea Priestly the international talent has looked good. Riho, Shida, Sakura as contant performers so far is great. Shanna and Hayter had solid first impressions. Sadie Gibbs looks like she could be a force to be reckoned with, power and high flying ability can sell her to a wide audience. And then you have the potential signings of Big Swole and Mercedes Martinez who only help the division more from a youth upside standpoint, and a talented as hell veteran standpoint. Then there is Brandi and Kong, which will work out just fine I think as good mega heels of the division. AEW at the very least knows the women's division has hit some bumps but they aren't wasting any time in scooping up talent to better deviate the matches and make the match quality better for everyone involved. AEW has shown incredible adaptibility on the fly so far, and it's gonna be a strength going forward if it's kept up.

She is very good as a character worker but at this current time AEW needs more women than can go in the ring. So Allie kind of has to take a step back. Honestly with Nyla and maybe even Britt I would use those connections to get them an excursion to Japan for a few months. They both clearly arent ready to be consistently on tv but get them consistent work and hell you can blog everything for tv content

I would probably send Bea to work some AAA shows and improve that lucha style of hers.

I'm wondering if Jericho won't get some chants and such given his recent podcast guest and if he should just lean into it for heel heat.

Allie looked bad at Dark last night, like she was drunk or something. I thought the other three women in that tag match outshined her this week, too.

I stopped watching WOW because they started doing that.

I’m glad to see they are using different women. Kylie was the only one in that first initial group that can actually go in the ring. I wish she was still in AEW to see her against Shida, Mercedes and Riho.
I’m really excited they are having 2 women’s matches but those girls really need to do something special in the ring because they have just been the low point of AEW overall.

I'll be in the house tonight. Excited about seeing Kenny Omega in person for the first time and Private Party. Hoping it's a good show tonight.

Hybrid 2 getting added is weird but I could see them costing Private Party to set up a potential feud there.
