Why did nobody tell me Nicolas Cage was starring in a movie based on the work of HP Lovecraft?!

I have heard of this... don't really know how it's going to work... since... like most of Lovecraft's stuff the point is... well... things that are indescribable...
like the color that is outside the describable visible spectrum...

Looks good, feels like they're touching on the madness of his work with this. Really hope to get a Mountains of Madness film one day

This will be the third time this story has been filmed for the cinema - the first was Die Monster Die in the mid-60s with Boris Karloff, and the second was The Curse in 1987, with Wil Wheaton. Neither were that great.

Wouldn't it be more effective if the film was in black in white? I can see the color.

And directed by Richard Stanley, the guy who did Hardware, Dust Devil, got kicked off of Island Of Dr. Moreau, and then, years later, had a documentary done about his experiences on Moreau. It's going to be great.

That documentary about the making of Island Of Dr. Moreau was pretty awesome. The guy who did that has a docu coming out about sleazeploitation director Al Adamson and his death. It looks great too.

as much of a Nic Cage fan as I am, the main reason I'm watching this is the "Directed by Richard Stanley" part.
