I had a 1995 Grand Marquis. About 10 years old when I got it in 2005. Didn’t have it for long as my mom smashed it up.

An old Ford Tempo handed down from my grandma after I got my license at 18. The entire interior was maroon red and an eyesore.
Reliable if completely unspectacular car, until a drunk driver rear-ended the crap out of it, then the transmission went out shortly thereafter. Don’t know if they were actually connected, but I’ve always assumed as much.

Purple 2000 Dodge Stratus in around 2007. My grandpa had a practice of passing along his old barely used cars to grandkids. He bought a Dodge Avenger. Not my car, just an example. Passed it along to my brother when my wife and I only needed one car after moving to Chicago. We drove her 2000 Elantra until 2012 when we couldn't get it to pass emissions and bought a 2013 Elantra. Traded that in last January for a 2015 RAV4 to have a bit more room with my kid, and a bit more safety in the snow. Now that we're back in Michigan, we needed a second car. I intended to get something cheap like a Pontiac Vibe or Toyota Matrix just for my work commute but my wife suddenly decided she wanted something more fuel efficient as a primary car, and we somehow doubled the amount we meant to spend and got a CPO 2018 Kia Niro.

1978 Audi Fox. Quite the fun little German car. It was a small sedan that was quick and nimble despite the small engine. It still could seat 4 quite comfortably. Fortunately, the inbuilt sunroof did not leak, which was a concern of mine when my dad got the car as it was already 13 years old at the time.

1984 Oldsmobile Delta 88,convertible with burgedey interior.
Dad had bought it in 87. Put a 350 under the hood. Then gave it to me in 90.
Huge beast of a car,got it up to 125 mph on I 10 once. But it also sucked gas. Engine blew in 96. Sold what was left to a family friend. He put a new engine in it and gave it to his daughter. She sold it in 2000 to a friend of mine.

Have never actually had a car; like a Southern cliche have only had trucks. First was a Mitsubishi Mighty Max, then a Mazda B2200, then have gone straight Chevy-- back to back s10s and back to back Silverados.

I would have had red Volkswagen Corrado from my brother, but I freakin' quit the driving school when I turned 18! Not sure if it was the best or the worst decision of my life.

Man, a Corrado would have been one hell of a first car, those things are classics now, at least in Europe.

Mine was a VW Polo (M-Reg 1994). 1 litre engine, 4 gears, steered like a tank, no ABS, no electric components, no nothing. But I loved it like my first child.

1990 Grand Marquis. I was one of the first of my friends to have their license, so it was the biggest car I could get for the cheapest price to fit as many people in it as I could.
