could also do it where whoever tanahashi is feuding with at the time interferes and costs him the match. Jericho "wins" to preserve the honor of AEW while leaving people with the impression that the Ace was going to put him down until X interfered. now Tana has extra reason to go after X- they could even tease that if tanahashi won he'd get an AEW title match (first ever to hold NJPW IC/NJPW world/AEW worldchamp) but X just ruined that for him. sounds like a jay white kinda move. Jay's got enough on his plate for WK, but it's not out of the realm of possibility that someone else would cheat, no. Jake Hager seems like somebody NJPW would love to have once in a while but I doubt it.I doubt anyone from AEW that didnt have prior contract will appear there

He could always beat Tanahashi...
I realize it's Tanahashi and it's WrestleKingdom, but it's not like Jericho's wrapping up with New Japan...

Certainly not impossible, given they did have him beat Naito in their first match, and it isn't like they're not likely going for a mega-feelgood ending for night two, anyway.

I mean, by the same token, though, if you're one of the smart fans that's watching both AEW and NJPW, you already know it's a work. I get what you're saying, though. I feel like New Japan has taken so many L's on the talent front lately that they're not going to care about Jericho's AEW belt in the slightest. Yea but smart fans know it's a work but want to keep shit in kayfabe, it is a weird mix lol And yeah I doubt they care about the AEW title. As I said they will probably act like it doesn't exist as Jericho will not have it. Jericho will just be the "painmaker" or whatever silly name he decides to use to rhyme with Ace Jericho in himself will try to push in the back for sure in terms of him losing. At best he's going to get a hard fought defeat but he's losing to the Ace especially since I can't see NJPW really using Jericho that much moving forward Y2Ace.

Oh is it confirmed closing night two? I just know Jay vs Naito, Ibushi vs Okada is night one, and that for night two, the champions face off, and the losers of the matches from night 1 will face each other, so I kinda figured the champs would be the main event.

Yea, but in a sense Naito only won the IC title so they could give it to Jericho and give Naito something to do for a year Tana rarely takes L's at WK so unless they plan on moving Jericho to bigger things, I just can't see it. Maybe if before AEW was a thing, yea but not now

If the Okada match hadn't happened, I could see the Judas Effect countered into rollup finish, Jericho atacks him and someone runs him off ending, but obviously they did that already.

Yea, this kind of feels like the last of Jericho there Really, the last one off matches could be him vs Suzuki or him vs Jay White but there is nothing really noteworthy that you would want to bring him to Wrestle kingdom for Considering Mox deal isn't really all that long with AEW, I can see him getting a lot more stuff as seen with the US title which would been a great role for Jericho

I think the days when getting jobbed out in another territory affects your brand are over to a laughable degree.

I think the days when getting jobbed out in another territory affects your brand are over to a laughable degree. It won't affect Jerichos brand but it will AEW to an extent because Jericho is being highly protected in their spot and then taking an L elsewhere In theory you want his L to matter and to be against one of your guys

Jericho losing tonight does do a good bit to alleviate this problem, there's that, at least.
