NXT is live from Full Sail on the road to both Takeover: WarGames III and the Survivor Series! Remember to read the rules about discussion of both this show and AEW Dynamite: officialfan.proboards.com/thread/592137/rules-discussion-weekly-aew-shows
The first ever Women's WarGames Match in WWE is one woman short - while Rhea Ripley has named Candice LeRae, Tegan Nox and Mia Yim as her teammates, Shayna Baszler has so far only added Bianca Belair and Io Shirai. Ripley's selection of Yim sparked controversy, as this shut out Dakota Kai, who has a close relationship with both LeRae and Nox, leading to speculation that Baszler might name her as the final member of her team in response.
While we wait for Shayna's decision, tonight we find out which team will get the advantage inside the double cage... not via a coin toss, but by whoever wins a Ladder Match. Team Ripley are sending Mia Yim to face Team Baszler's Io Shirai, with the possibility that both might take themselves out of contention for WarGames with how brutal it's likely to get. But more importantly than that, how will Dakota Kai react from last week's rejection, and will it affect this match?
Also a person short is Tommaso Ciampa's WarGames team, as so far he's only named Keith Lee and Matt Riddle to take on the Undisputed ERA. In addition, NXT needs to name its men's Survivor Series team, as RAW and SmackDown have settled on their lineups. What moves will be made tonight, and how will Finn Bálor play into things?
The NXT Cruiserweight Championship is on the line tonight, with Lio Rush defending the title against Angel Garza. The Latino Heartthrob has hit a good run of form recently, and might have caught the Man of the Hour at the right time. Will Lio's title reign last as long as Garza's pants do before they're ripped away?
Pete Dunne might have solved his issues with Damian Priest, but The Bruiserweight still has Killian Dain to contend with, after the Beast of Belfast attacked him following the match, also attacking Priest. How does Dunne counteract in his battle with the big man?
All this, plus maybe Cameron Grimes and his crappy hat, plus RATINGS CHAMPION TAYNARA, tonight from 8/7c on USA!
