Do they actually advertise the time and day NXT is on tho ? They mentioned at the end about wednesday night but never mentioned a specific time and I saw like 3 commercials advertising this weeks episode. So seems USA does more to advertise and promote NXT than WWE itself does , the announcers themselves gave more promotion to WWE backstage. Yea a bit ass backwards there. USA is going to obviously advertise but they could def do more on WWE side, NXT in theory should be the talk of the town because you’re having “main roster” people come to their home turf

I mean, USA won a bidding war for it so yeah, they would promote it. And I get the promotion of WWE Backstage since that's a WWE endorced show on FOX but Punk isn't doing a storyline right now where he, Renee, Booker and Paige are running in and beating up others because they have a team in Survivor Series. It'd be awesome don't get me wrong...

I'll be honest, this is bothering me way more than it should.
Dynamite's beaten NXT 7 weeks in a row, the closest they got was towards the Go Home Show for Full Gear and it was a narrow gap. This is the best opportunity they've had since this thing started to get an advantage even if it's for one week.
How hard is it to have someone on RAW say "Wednesdays at 8"? The fact HHH didn't either...like...what? And this is WWE too who push things down people's throats in sometimes a really aggressive fashion just so they don't forget.

Personally NXT is all WWE has worth watching (my opinion). I'll choose to watch AEW over NXT because WWE has let me down in a ungodly amount and so far AEW hasn't. Also like I said before I watch NXT the following night on the network anyway.

It has been said a few times but I think partially why NXT faulters against AEW is because of the faults of the other shows kind of a guilt by association if you will.
And there is some evidence to this in that the SD that started this invasion and it was praised across the board and it carried over for the next NXT show.....but ever since than the invasion aspect has felt flat because and I have said this it felt less like an actual invading force and more like it was just someones night to show up on the other brand and things have slid back down.

I’m guessing it’s a mandate because it’s an “invasion”. I’m sure HHH knows this and has to be going what the f***? All you literally have to do is put someone from NXT at the announcers table to pimp the show if you don’t think it sounds good to have Raw and SD announcers pimping NXT. When Pat did it on SD, you can hear Phillips try to not let it sink in like he wasn’t supposed to do that but Pat don’t give a f**** It's not like you have to subliminal about this

It'd be spontaneous, gives Cole some mike time and more importantly, tells people to tune in on Wednesday at 8. Like, it gives the perception that NXT's just there to take away AEW's audience and even if there is any accuracy to that, you don't want that perception coming off on the actual show when they're invading. Seriously, it's mindboggling.

It might... _if_ there's an wholesale invasion by both brands to NXT that nonetheless sees NXT at least holding its own with the other two.
As in, no mere undercarders making appearances here. I'd make damn sure KO, Sami, Nak, Roman, Seth, Becky, Charlotte, Bayley, Sasha, Drew, Braun - basically everyone who's been through that joint and made it big - were going to show. And I'd telegraph it through social media as if the whole roster were storming Area 51 (Naruto run optional.)
What might make it interesting is the fact that there is clearly a fox in the NXT henhouse - its recent "demotee" who now has an axe to grind against what NXT has become, and possibly what the main rosters have done to him. What sort of role might he play in the defense? Or will he facilitate the invasion?

Optional, my ass! Everyone better Naruto run to the ring to brawl with NXT or else this entire thing is a failure, Survivor Series should be scrapped and NXT should get creamed for the rest of time by Dynamite! (I'm 99% joking here)

In overall viewers, quite possibly. But in the target 18-49 demo, I don’t see it happening.
And bear in mind, the target demo has much more to do with whether networks & advertisers see a show as a hit than overall viewer numbers do.

If the patterns so far are any indication, if they want an early victory at all, it's this week or never.
Speaking only as one measly voice among the multitude, I still find AEW's product more engaging, and even if NXT turned my head, I still have reasons I'm limiting my support of WWE to sparse YouTube views. At some point, WWE needs to face the uncomfortable fact that many fans have reasons for wanting an alternative product beyond the quality of the programming, and they're not coming back until real changes happen behind the scenes.

It might be bold of me to say as it is Tuesday and things can change between now and tomorrow but...it seems like they've at least peaked interest in the show with HHH inviting both brands to the show with the amount of viewers both Raw and Smackdown attract, it could tip things onto their side depending on what happens on said shows. Like, I know it seems from the actual numbers that there's barely any crossover between AEW and NXT viewers, it does seem like a decent idea to counter-program the card Dynamite has this week so it could happen, I guess? As good as NXT is, I'm saying No. The reason is the ratings itself, the gap as been very far apart. 2 weeks ago was the closes NXT got to AEW, The invasion stuff has already happened for a couple weeks now. If even with shows that had AJ Styles didn't beat AEW. Last week that closest gap went away and NXT feel down big time and this followed CM Punk return buzz. The thing is, NXT hasn't once broken the 10 ten in overall viewed shows on Wedensday, AEW has yet to fallen below 10. AEW also had a good show last week and a stacked show this week so NXT has there work cut out to get close again to them. What not helping them is the WWE umbrella because Raw and Smackdown for the last week been underwhelming and there ratings have been fallen during all of this as well. So if the NXT invasion hasn't improved the ratings of Raw and Smackdown a great deal. How would it work the other way around? The thing is Raw has had segments they has turned people away like the Lana angle. AEW hasn't really done anything to PO fans. WWE has done a lot of that, even if NXT as a show hasn't.

NXT had a cold week last week, and the Survivor Series Invasion shit has really cooled odd with pretty meh RAW ratings and fallout from it. I could see them trying to pull out the big guns but AEW for me has way more hype and watchability right now to watch live.
I do think if they dont do it this week though it's not gonna happen for the forseeable future. AEW had a big week last week and went up, and set up a big show this week and NXT went down despite having guys like AJ Styles on the show THAT week, they'll really need to impress and I dunno WWE's whole mentality of being pessimistic to their fanbase might have finally stuck even if NXT is the nest thing they have.

(I'm 99% joking here) conservation of ninjutsu- if both raw and smackdown charge in like that all NXT would need is like keith lee and Donovan dijak (cause I never recall his new name) to take them all out with some clenched teeth back to back fighting teamwork. I fully expect every single match to end with some sort of run-in by either raw or smackdown- hopefully with the big guns not "oh look it's ryder and Hawkins attacking UE." ( 5 seconds later) "now back to the match at hand..." also NXT men's/women's teams not going to be announced until after War Games- to make sure they have enough healthy bodies? or will they announce it tonight you think?

I would hope they are smart and wait till after WarGames to announce the SVS womens and mens teams because in Kayfabe it is s smart strategy spring it on the opposition at the last minute so they are unprepared.
But also can't be sure of who may or may not be injured coming out of those matches for real so no need to announce for example Rhea Ripley as going to be on the team only for her to tweak her knee or something only to then have to scramble both an explanation and replacement.
