It might be bold of me to say as it is Tuesday and things can change between now and tomorrow but...it seems like they've at least peaked interest in the show with HHH inviting both brands to the show with the amount of viewers both Raw and Smackdown attract, it could tip things onto their side depending on what happens on said shows.
Like, I know it seems from the actual numbers that there's barely any crossover between AEW and NXT viewers, it does seem like a decent idea to counter-program the card Dynamite has this week so it could happen, I guess?

If they don’t here, they probably never will unless AEW really hits a wall quality-wise.

I know I said it before and got proven wrong (also didn't help that apparently those beatdowns only lead to 3 guys showing up for some reason) but that seems to be the set up for me. Especially with some of the names in that scramble or could still come in...this'll be their only shot in a while to do it.

They should, it would be very disappointing for them if they don't.

They really should win with them basically promising main roster guys will be on NXT this week.
I can't see it being anything more than a one week stop gap though, when the Survivor Series brand warfare ends then what? NXT going back to just NXT guys every week means they go back to losing to Dynamite every week in my opinion.

I can see the headlines for Thursday : ORANGE CASSIDY DEFEATS ROMAN REIGNS IN THE RATINGS! Once he beats Roman, all he can do is go up, in a somewhat diagonal trajectory.

No.
And they never will.
NXT is on USA to take the bullet so that Vince doesn't have to confront how shitty RAW and SD are. He can just blame it all on NXT.

I hope so. I don't get worked up over ratings but it would nice to see some back and forth swings just for funsies.

Probably, but the issue then becomes once you stop the Invasion stuff, how do you maintain an audience.

Probably, but the issue then becomes once you stop the Invasion stuff, how do you maintain an audience. They’re hoping it’s like “Oh hey, I may have been watching to see if Reigns showed up, but these NXT guys are pretty good, I’ll watch them next week”. It’s like how they used Mike Tyson as bait to get people to stick around for Steve Austin, although obviously not on the same scale.

Which hey, makes sense for those people who've only heard of NXT from afar. I think the only thing they have to be wary about is doing it well, which I'm more confident within NXT then I am on Raw or Smackdown.

Nope, why watch it live with never ending commercials when it's posted the next night on the network without commercials.

Doubt it. AEW has Mox taking on Darby Allin, that match should move the needle and ensure another victory for the Jacksonville fed in the ratings.

Gonna say no but they will get close like maybe a 30 to 50k difference in overall viewership.
But would not surprise me if they did...AEW got a post ppv bump last week and NXT you would have to assume is gonna get a bump for the go home show to both takeover and svs.

Do they actually advertise the time and day NXT is on tho ? ...They really don't do that on TV? Especially with them invading right now? I do need someone to clarify this because that sounds insane.

I know that first week they did it on SD, Pat Mcafee snuck that in on commentary but to my recollection there was no graphic on screen or the announcers saying NXT is on this time and this night Raw might be different since it’s USA but I haven’t caught it the last two weeks. Every promo from a NXT wrestler should be come get us on Wednesday at 8 pm or the announcers after every attack pimping what will Raw or SD do to NXT on Wednesday I get it’s an “invasion” but AJ Styles showing up in NXT for the first time and having a match was not advertised.

Do they actually advertise the time and day NXT is on tho ? They mentioned at the end about wednesday night but never mentioned a specific time and I saw like 3 commercials advertising this weeks episode. So seems USA does more to advertise and promote NXT than WWE itself does , the announcers themselves gave more promotion to WWE backstage.

That's honestly mindboggling to me. Especially if they're not doing it on USA when the very reason it's live on Wednesday in the first place is that they won a bidding war with FOX for it.
