This begs another question here. Where do these announced matches for next week come from? Are they going to retape them at an affiliate promotion? Are they going to take another week to salvage them footage they have? More empty arena matches? Guessing an retapeing with commentators from the affiliate promotion

Really don't get why they didn't just put a disclaimer before the show saying something about the Cornette situation and just showing the episode they had in the can. It's not going to hurt the show to say it's already been filmed, just show us what you already have and give new viewers a heads up that changes have been made. This is reminding me of TNA and the Hernandez situation in 2015, and well Corgan and Lagana were in creative back then..... The Hernandez thing was a little different, as they were legally prohibited from showing anything involving him. AFAIK, no such restriction is happening right now, unless they're afraid Cornette's going to sue if they show those.

Dave Lagana confirmed to Joe Lanza at Voices of Wrestling that this was always the planned episode, and had nothing to do with Jim Cornette - they hadn't filmed enough material to get them up to the PPV.

That would require the production team doing something, and we've all seen Lagana would rather sleep instead. I'm just thinking of when TNA would do stuff like cut to a long, clear shot of Don West and Mike Tenay reading scripts at the commentary booth instead of watching their monitors during a Sting/Abyss brawl in the back, or a scuffle between Anderson and somebody where they broke apart and were glaring at each other, followed by someone saying "Cut!", and they left them in. On taped shows, both of them.

I don't buy that at all. There was no reason at all for Question Mark to face one of the Dawsons in an Empty Arena match. There was no feud between the two teams, and both are heel tandems at that (despite Question Mark being ridiculously over). And they did absolutely tape a number one contender's match, so it's bizarre that they just announced the same guy who won that contender's match to just be announced as the champion.

This sucks, I started watching the episode last night and thought maybe they just retaped the intro with Joe Galli and once I realized the whole episode would be recaps I just stopped watching. This could actually kill the show and there are important matches that we don't get to see now.

So...since there was yet again no thread for Powerrr this week. What in the f*** what that? What the f*** is going on with this company? Why did they air an episode WITH Cornette featured very prominently this week and built a really stupid "conspiracy" angle around the mess of last week. WHY??? LOLNWA!

Why did they air an episode WITH Cornette featured very prominently this week and built a really stupid "conspiracy" angle around the mess of last week. WHY??? LOLNWA! I'm kind of lost as well. They even gave Cornette a farewell at the end, after completely changing last week's episode to the point where they removed key matches. They edited this week's episode to just feature several of the key matches, but then go ahead and leave in Cornette celebrating with the Rock N' Roll Express. I'm glad they left the Rock N' Roll Express winning the belts in the show, but it basically makes everything else they did pointless. They might as well have just left the shows alone, minus editing Cornette's comment out. It really sucks because I was really enjoying the show up until this whole mess. Hopefully they can get back on track after the PPV.

Really the whole Powerrr thing feels like it's on VERY borrowed time. Beyond the plummet in interest here (given the last two shows didn't even get their own threads), the viewership numbers on Youtube have also dropped like a rock the past couple shows.

Cornette's outburst didn't help any

Viewership dropped after a few episodes, but between the Cornette outburst and then the show afterwards being a recap show it nosedived. This week had a two matches from the original tapings, but they still reformatted the show which took away from the original feel of the studio show. It will be interesting how things go after the ppv with the new tapings.

On this weeks episode of the Jim cornette experience jim has said that week 8 was always meant to be a "package show" and he only got formats for shows 1-7,9.
