First in his documentary last year, now with the Tom Hanks movie.
It's interesting in that Rogers here isn't the focus; he's an important part, but the story is primarily about the main character's relationship with his dad&Fred Rogers helps him deal with that in new ways.
Hanks as always is great, and it's interesting in that while he doesn't look or sound THAT much like Rogers, you buy it.
Also cool is that every now and then the script and Hanks give us a subtle glimpse into Mr. Rogers own pain and humanity. There's nothing overtly spoken, but a facial expression or some turn of phrase let's you know here was a human being that sometimes hurt too.
Good stuff.

It was a wonderful film. Tom Hanks is amazing. After this and Walt Disney, I just want him to keep playing pop culture icons forever.
Somebody needs to write a Dr. Seuss bio pic
