Cool video they deserve all the attention right now they are exceptional.
they tried to interview Io but all that could be heard were blood curtling screams
Seriously though I have had the thought in my head for a bit in the lead up to this match but lastnight really cemented it and that is that this era of NXT women is unargueably the best NXT has ever had hell to go one further this NXT womens roster is the best womens roster WWE has ever and likely will have for a very long time.
The four horsewomen were great but this crop is special in a way those women cannot touch IMO.

I don't know if it's to do with "NXT presentation" or the extra reaction they get from NXT crowds making them seem better or cooler but they honestly seem on another level to the Raw and SD women. I know "looking like a star" has become the most overused cliche ever that people throw around for anybody these days but they really do just ooze star power and command attention. Rhea, Io and Bianca for me especially. I really hope NXT being on TV has saved them from being "main rostered" and they can stay on NXT forever.

The four horsewomen were great but this crop is special in a way those women cannot touch IMO. I think the Horsewomen were always reaching. Bayley and Sasha had an element of acting their characters even in kayfabe. Charlotte has always been all over the place character wise. Becky was always searching for her niche. They were all reaching for a prominent position on the card. Watching them and the division grow was compelling. However several of the current crop are fully formed and most don't come with the meta baggage, the path has been paved for them, they can just start walking on it.

As long as Vince and his flunkies are in charge of Raw/SD I don’t look for Rhea or Io to do much of anything there. I doubt that they’ll like Rhea’s look and considering what they’ve done with Asuka, Kairi, and Nakamura I wouldn’t look for much for Io there. As jaded as it is to say, this is likely the highlight of their run, as none of them are going to get booked stronger than Charlotte, Becky, and the like. Just my opinion, but I don’t see it unless things change.

The four horsewomen were great but this crop is special in a way those women cannot touch IMO. The Horsewomen certainly paved the way, but this group of women have taken that road beyond what we thought it could go. The Horsewomen's division was also largely just them. The rest of the women were coming along, but were still far from their potential. This current roster goes 9 deep and they can all intermingle with each other and no one looks out of place. Then on top of that, you also have a deep roster of girls who are up and coming being used as enhancement talent or girls who have yet to debut on TV yet. The Horsewomen broke through one glass ceiling, this division has broken through another.

Rhea Ripley is Chyna with better wrestling skills. Chyna was a specimen that eventually got some semblance of wresting skills eventually. She was a bit ahead of her time. Had she come along now, who knows what she could’ve been in-ring. Rhea is a specimen that is REALLY good in the ring and has an amazing presence, IMO. She needs to have a program with Charlotte eventually.

WWE might be in a bit of a rut..... but the one thing they seem to have right is women performers. I LOVE the WWE women.... they are incredibly entertaining to me.

Yeah, it’s the standing-on-the-shoulders-of-giants thing. It’s still only 5 1/2 years since Charlotte/Natalya and only 3 1/2 years since the butterfly belt was phased out. The current crop of NXT women cake into a division where so much ground had already been broken and this gives them additional opportunities. I think NXT expanding to two hours has also been a helpful structural factor.
