I just wish he'd switch masks depending on what is going on instead of the perpetual grin.
Like, he'd have a frown when the opponent is beating him up.

I've been thinking; why are wrestling fans getting sick of talents so damn quickly now-a-days? Like, it barely takes anything before people go from liking someone to 'They suck' or 'I'm over them.'. Imagine if Hogan had his Hulkamaniacs turning on him this quickly in the 1980s?? Because you only saw Hogan a few times a year. I started watching at 6 and no one else in the house liked wrestling. And I didn’t even know SNME was a thing. So I saw Hulk on PPV or if I rented a tape he was on. Also, Hogan wasn’t presented at a loser.

I wont say I am fed up with him but man with a character like that just looking at him you expect alot of cool vingettes to accompany him to really develop something of his own world but it has become this looping cycle of ...Bray cuts promo from shoddy childrens playhouse , Fiend shows up and attacks and then we loop back to Bray cutting promos and rinse and repeat just replacing the opponent.
Since he is based on a demonic looking clown how about a vingette set in a deserted carnival at night with other oddball looking creatures but they never interact with the fiend just aknowledge his presence as he slinks around , just things like this could do and give so much more to the character and not a single word would have to be said.

They want him to be the next Taker/Kane/Mankind.
To me, he's the next Boogeyman.

I think what makes The Fiend special is it has a element of an old school traditional feel of the gimmick. When I watch The Fiend I find myself viewing the gimmick as a characterization that would fit perfectly in the 80's, 90's, and early 2000's. It's such a different look, feel, and atmosphere that perhaps it's why a lot of fans took to it so quickly. He's visually and stylistically different from the other wrestlers that all look and sound the same.
