RAW is LIVE from Chicago to conclude WWE's long weekend there (but not the wrestling week there, see Wednesday on TNT), and the Flagship Brand is coming off a bit of a hiding at Survivor Series last night.
Let's talk the small amount of positives. RAW's sole win in direct competition with NXT and SmackDown came in the preshow as the Viking Raiders saw off The New Day and The Undisputed ERA to be the dominant tag team in WWE - who can possibly stop Erik and Ivar? Meanwhile, Brock Lesnar withstood both Rey Mysterio and his son Dominick to retain the WWE Championship, who's next for the Beast Incarnate?
Now to the many negatives, and the obvious whipping boy here is Seth Rollins. While he was the last member remaining on Team RAW, he was seen off by NXT's Keith Lee, and booed out of the building in the same city where his beloved Bears play. Will Rollins accept accountability for his team's failure, or will he lash out at people who don't deserve it?
Meanwhile there was infighting with RAW's women, as Asuka said sod it and spewed green mist in Charlotte Flair's face. Natalya fought valiantly, but she was eventually picked off en route to a win for Rhea Ripley and Team NXT. Becky Lynch lost as well, but at least she got the last word in on Shayna Baszler, who defeated Bayley in last night's three way main event.
AJ Styles was another who tasted defeat at Survivor Series at the hands of NXT North American Champion Roderick Strong, and he has to instantly rebound, as he defends the United States Title tonight against Humberto Carrillo, who did not see action this weekend - is this the ideal time to catch The Phenomenal One?
Kevin Owens shocked everyone this weekend by going over to NXT and taking part in the Men's WarGames Match, gaining victory over the Undisputed ERA. Last night he was on Team RAW, and appeared to be loyal, being eliminated by his WarGames captain Tommaso Ciampa. But is Owens fully Team Red, or is he pining to go back to NXT full time?
All this and more tonight from 8/7c on USA!
