As always, a great look from TG at a lesser-known toyline. I had two or three of these guys as a kid. These guys definitely look familiar to me, I think I had a book and tape based on this

Ah, what all great action figure lines of the 80's needed, a complex spreadsheet design to determine affiliation. No kid really gets into their toys until they've written a couple of SQL queries for them anyways.
In hindsight, I'm thinking I see the flaw in the marketing here.

I will always have a soft spot for the old school Tomy robot toys aesthetic, the cockpit heads with gold chrome pilots shared by Zoids, Starriors and Z-Knights.
