All images are from 1980sactionfigures.tumblr.com Clawtron is probably the coolest Fisher-Price Adventure People...Person? ever. The X-Ray guy is close, but Clawtron is just straight up awesome. He would have been great to have back then, would have integrated into Star Wars stuff pretty well. --- If GoBots were for kids who couldn't afford Transformers, then this was the GoBot for kids who couldn't afford GoBots. Had a couple of them, though. --- Froggacuda - love that name - was part of an interesting line of bendies called The Other World that were treated like a full-scale action figure line. --- Because the world needed action figures of the ten-year-late PREQUEL of an old movie. Clearly Kenner was hedging the bets in case that whole Star Wars thing fell through. --- Okay, why did so many figures from this era have an arm/hand in that position? Seriously, why? --- Oh. Oh dear. That's...uhm. Okay, so this was part of a fundraising promotion by Doctors Without Borders. The intent was...good...at least? I think? I honestly don't know anymore.

That last one, that's a new one to me. I do have to wonder if that was successful or not. Neat on the first one. I knew of Adventure People as Ashens has looked at a few on his channel, even if the line is way ahead of my time, but I had no idea they made a robot. I dig it, and as a kid, I'd have loved that thing if I got it second-hand or something.

This reminds me, I used to have something called "School-Bots" which were little plastic bootleg Battroids with pencil sharpeners on their back. They could still transform into Valkyrie and Gerwalk modes and they looked kinda neat. So I had the Macross/Robotech toys for kids who couldn't afford the real thing.

Because when the Lord of Vampires needs to get somewhere fast, he can depend on his sports car and all-terrain truck. --- I can't imagine who these guys are ripping off. --- Dragon Man here is legit one of my top 20 favorite action figures. Had him for a brief time as a kid and I miss that little bugger. --- Cowardly Lion, now with 256% more porn 'stache. --- F*** YEAH! --- I loved how Matchbox kept sneaking action figures into their car line.

That dragon figure looks like he's leering at women on the street. And damn is that monkey happy to be there with the space robots. I'm almost happy for him.

Holy crap, Madison. Talk about memory lane. I had Clawtron, Dragon Man, and SpaceWars.
The first two were definitely part of my Star Wars universe, with Clawtron as a Rebel and Dragon Man as a Most Eisley bounty hunter

I loved those little monocolor ninjas you could get in the quarter machines. I don't know what decade they're from but they seem timeless

So, when you were kids and had the urge to have He-Man fight Sylvester Stallone, did you go with: Rocky? Rambo? Or were you that weird asshole kid down the block who had all the strange toys no one else recognized?

Did the Over the Top toyline make a Ruker (Terry Funk) figure? Or a Female Arm Wrestler (Reggie Bennett) figure?

Oh man, Sean Astin has not aged well at all. --- This exists. God only knows why. But it does. ---- I won't lie - I want one. This was the only figure in the line. --- This was my first Godzilla figure way back when. My god, that artwork is horrendous. That may be the worst "official" Godzilla I've ever seen. --- I will never understand the reasoning behind Wave 3 of the Super Powers line. Wave 1 was all A-listers, Wave 2 was a bunch of the best B-listers and Kirby's Apokalips characters. Then Wave 3 just goes weird and includes absolutely bizarre choices with z-listers and entirely new characters like Cyclotron here. The thousands of characters they had even by that point and we got generic robot #29211? Bleh. --- How coked-up insane were the '80s? A denim jeans brand got its own line of action figures. That's just...stupid. Who were these marketed to? --- *Obvious joke here*

It's a shame we never got wave 4 of the Super Powers line. That was going to have some nice treats (Blue Devil, Supergirl, Black Lightning,Bizzaro, Man-Bat, etc).

I'm fairly sure this guy doesn't have battle-matic anything. Also, who the **** okayed a toy license for this film? --- This was my first wrestling ring - I wouldn't get the LJN ring for another year or so. The figures were typical MOTU-style, which made them great for swelling that line's ranks. --- Don't care what anyone else says, the reboot version of Skeletor was awesome (okay, the cartoon version not so much). --- If anyone remembers the Bionic Six figures, they were die-cast metal and this one was a lethal weapon in the wrong kid's hands.
