What Are You Getting/Giving For the Holidays?

I didn’t see a thread this year so apologies if I missed it.

As for me I did most of my Christmas shopping already

I’m getting dresses for my girlfriend, computer stuff for mom, and a carton of smokes for my stepfather.

I’m expecting to get shipping supplies, DVDs, and some household items (mostly bedding stuff)

I took my mother out for dinner and to the Nutcracker ballet as an early Christmas gift. She's also getting eyeglass cords and some candy. My grandmother's getting word search books, because she's basically obsessed with them, and candy. I sent my long distant friends adult coloring books, an Eeyore ornament, a keychain, some wax melts, an illustrated version of Beauty and the Beast, a Belle doll, and a cat Funko.

So far I've received Spirited Away on DVD, a Shazam Funko, an adult coloring book, a hedgehog stuffed animal, some Frozen II stuff, a mug, a Little Mermaid doll and a toy chocolate frog from Harry Potter from my long distant friends.

Just got a new smartphone, but that was more of a "I had an upgrade waiting for me" more than "present."

Getting mostly money for Hanukah. And I'm going to get myself a PS4. And some of the exclusives I missed out on like God of War and Spider-man as well as games that are multiplatform but murder my computer like Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Final Fantasy XV Royal Edition. Persona 5 was on that list, but considering P5 Royal is coming out in a few months, nah.

I got my brother the blurays he asked for and an ankor nub. I bought myself a shirt, but he liked it so much I gave it to him. I got one of my cousins money and a intindo card he asked for. I got his sister a selection of local craft beers and I'm going to get her some good pens for work.(she's a nurse) My brother got her a toaster and a toaster cover.

My brother got my a new computer this summer and a weighted blanket. My cousin got me some Steam cards and his sister is going to give me some sweatshirts.

It took 17 days for a simple toaster cover to get from Rancho Cucamunga(sp?) to West Louisville.

Mom-She wants every Elivs movie on DVD or Blu ray. So got her 18 of them.

Dad-Jeans and some new hunting boots.

Oldest son-He needs stuff for his new house so got him a bunch of giftcards to home depot and places.

Youngest Son-Paid for a year of Marvel DCU for him. Plus got him some comic trades.

Me-So far gotten 2 books,a stack of DVDs and a new pair of cheap workshoes.

I'm getting my stepdad and mum £20 gift vouchers; I know that sounds ridiculous tight of me and, honestly, I wanted to get them something else, but they were flat out insistent that that was what I get them.

They're getting me WWE 2K20 and that's all I really wanted. Yes, I know it's a train-wreck, but I might actually share my experiences with said trainwreck.

I actually put some Something Weird ones on my Amazon wishlist. Only the most innocuous stuff that is still fairly cheap. I have a whole private wishlist for the stranger ones I buy for myself. If my girlfriend saw one of them had a bonus feature called, “How to Take Pictures of Naked Lady” it would be an hour long lecture for me.

she'll bring a few surprises too like the set of mini star wars novelisations, and i get tons of tshirts ..... i actually got pyjamas last year, star wars pyjamas, they are great!

RED DEAD REDEMPTION 2 for my nephew, he already has GTAV .....

but i got my sister something very odd ..... a handmade wooden THREE FOOT TALL elongated cat ornament out of the glasgow st enochs christmas market, this thing is WEIRD looking, she has two cats too and i might suggest she hangs it up on the wall ..... no not because of the cats .....
and i threw in BREAKFAST AT TIFFANYS on dvd

Jadat Sports Best of Bruiser Brody volume 1 DVD-Lots of Blanchard era texas stuff. And some Texas All Stars stuff. But all of the matches look like 4th gen dubs.
Iron Sheik The MAIM Event-The third DVD release of the Fred Olen Ray wrestling documentary better known as Southern Discomfort,also on Amazon Prime for free as Alabama Outlaws. Worth seeing if you have any interest in deep south indie wrestling of the 90s.

Legends of Wrestling 3 dvd set-I already have this but was a gift from a cousin I see once a year. Gonna keep it sealed and just sell it at the BIW show in January.

I expect to maybe get some Something Weird Video DVDs/Blus Xmas day. I know my lady ordered some stuff off my wishlist. And my favorite uncle,who got me into cult/horror/sci fi cinema always orders me some dvds off my wishlist.

Every year around September I go purge all the too graphic from my wishlist. Years ago I forgot to do that and ended up getting a dvd of Joe Demato's rip off of Caligula,the one that stars Laura Gemser...from my then 80 something year old grandparents.

See that is what I tell people to get me. But all of my family hates giving gift cards. Before there was gift cards I would tell them to just give me cash. Was easier than getting them to goto say the comic shop or the one record store on the coast that would have in the albums I wanted.

Thankfully both my sons dont mind getting gift cards. With both of them living a good distance away it is easier to mail giftcards.

I don't know what I'm getting and don't want to until Christmas morning.

I got my mom a humidifier for plants and some other thing she wanted for plants that I don't even quite understand what it is (she's a plant nut, her house practically looks like a greenhouse).

I got my stepdad a Harry's Razor gift set that comes with lotion, shave gel, and a red razor (his favorite color is red, and they don't usually come in red) and also a pack of replacement blade cartridges because he's been complaining that he wants a nicer razor that will give him a closer shave.

I got my secret santa at work a Dallas Cowboys coffee mug because he's a big fan.

Everyone else I know and love just got cards sent to them.

Dad: Replacement band for his Garmin watch and a beanie.
Sister: A Champions hoodie.

Nephew 1: Minecraft for the Switch.
Nephew 2/godson: Super Mario Odyssey for the Switch.
A close friend/My cousin's husband: Ghostbusters for PS4 (The remastered version of the 2009 game).

Came into some extra cash yesterday so ordered some CDs for a few family members.

Mom-Dolly Parton 2 disc set-Looks decent but is missing a few songs I would want on it.

Dad-MC5 Kick out the Jams-Getting him his own copy so I can have mine back. After hearing it riding with me a few years ago he borrowed mine and I never got it back.

Oldest son-SCott Pilgrim Soundtrack

Youngest son-He isnt much into music so grabbed him a Spiderman trade off his Instocktrades wishlist.

Lady-House Party soundtrack-Ended up ordering myself a copy at the same time.

We dont really do any holidays. Only thing this year I gave was a Walmart gift card to a coworker. She had her truck break down last week and moneys tight now so we wanted to help her out. Gave her a Walmart card because she can use that and would believe me when I said someone gave it to me and we wont shop there. That way she wouldnt be offended by charity.
