I just wanted to mention how genuinely happy I am that Impact has turned themselves around, yes, they're not as big as they were in the mid 2000s where they probably could've been a viable alternative for WWE, especially at the time when you could argue that things weren't going so hot for the WWE.
But then things just got worse and worse and it seemed that Impact would suffer the same fate of WCW, going under and going out of business and, yes, it was fun to go through those LOLTNA years where it just seemed that Impact could do no right, but it was in a gloriously barmy way.
However, I have to give them credit for not only surviving, but improving and putting on genuinely entertaining matches with fun gimmicks and you could argue that it's even made stars. Yes, Tessa Blanchard is so good that she would probably be a star anyway, but even with Impact, a promotion that has not really competed with WWE in terms of the 'eyes watching', but she's done really well for herself.
That said, for me, my favourite thing about Impact is that how everyone seems to be happy, like, backstage morale seems to be good, but unironically this time, compare that to WWE where they're making more money (probably), but they all seem so damn miserable and, honestly, I'd rather have less eyes on me and be happy working for Impact than working for WWE, getting paid more and spending most of my time sitting in catering or complaining on Twitter.

It's actually a pretty good show now. Unfortunately, since I started working again I've had to cut back my weekly wrestling viewing to just AEW Dynamite and Dark, NXT, and NWA Power. Everything else I just watch the ppvs and major events now.
I am very happy for them as well though.

More than the quality, I appreciate that Impact has its own identity. The gimmicks all feel very aesthetically coherent, the backstage stuff has a distinctive surreal flavor - it truly feels like its own thing, which is so much better than their previous weird attempts to be the worst parts of WWE and WCW.

They could use some more people on the roster, but other than that, Impact has been doing better compared to just a few years ago.

I agree with this completely. I don't watch every week, but what I watch I enjoy, it's just hard with my schedule and no cable right now. But they have carved their own identity and it doesn't feel like a poor man's WCW 2000 like it did for a long time. TNA before had short periods of being a good product, but it feels like they are finally consistent and following a clear path. I doubt they ever get to the heights of the '09/'10 in terms of visibility, but they have found a nice niche for themselves and a place in modern wrestling as a strong upper independent in North America.

Impact's carved out a nice little niche for itself as a mid-major. I also appreciate how tongue-in-cheek they are with a lot of stuff.

There's enough talent out there to have an entertaining roster, and Impact has done that.
I can honestly say I never thought one of the most entertaining things in wrestling in 2019 would be Johnny Swinger

I wish I had some way to start watching them again at this point. They air the show for free on Twitch.

It's amazing the difference competent management can make, isn't it? Hopefully Ring of Honour will undergo a similar creative turnaround down the road once Gregg and Joe are gone.

I am happy for them, too, but I'll be significantly happier when Killer Kloss is gone. That sours things a lot for me.
I can live with having Elgin and Swann around, and Havok. Same with MLW giving some folks a second chance, it's people who (rightly, frankly) blew their spots elsewhere getting another shot, and I get that it's also Impact probably getting quality wrestlers for less than they otherwise might have. That's pragmatic, I get it. Less so the contractual horseshit with Kloss, but if they let him go when his contract is up without extending it as they supposedly can, I'm willing to forgive.

Still not watching since I'm not willing to subject myself to that much Josh Mathews every week (plus f*** Michael Elgin), but I'm glad for them. I was a proponent of Impact dying simply because it'd get Dixie Carter out of the wrestling business. Didn't think it was possible to get her out yet still keep Impact around. They seemed to have pulled it off well enough. Letting Kross go would make it better.
