What was that all about? Was it an attempt to get back into wrestling? A one-off sort of rant that turned into a bigger deal because it got shared everywhere? Or a complete work from the get-go just for shits and giggles?

It was probably a work to get some attention and just to breath some life into his career post wrestling. I can't imagine even indy promotions wanting him. He had a cool look and gimmick but just didn't have an "it" factor to really do something with it. He was well below a gimmick like Papa Shango or Berzerker even as Demento was debuting and those guys were being used to JTTS's. He may have gotten wins over Virgil, Tito or Bob Backlund, if that.
