People should really read the entire thread before rushing to make the same "Vince lied to the shareholders!" points over and over again. "I gave them equity stake in my start-up!" isn't a legitimate defense for donating a valuable intellectual property to a company that the CEO owns Valuable? The XFL trademarks were worthless. Some stock in Vinces new XFL was the best offer they were ever going to get.

Some stock in Vinces new XFL was the best offer they were ever going to get. They had already received an offer for $50 million for them. Instead, they got 25% of a company that wasn't going to be profitable in 3 years according to best case projections.

I'm mostly saddened of XFL dying because I don't see that cool name pop up anywhere that often. Who knows what other projects Vinny has going in ALPHA ENTERTAINMENT. If he ever wants to sell the rights, I'm interested. People should really read the entire thread before rushing to make the same "Vince lied to the shareholders!" points over and over again. No worries, Vince. We have always your back!

After reading up on it, that offer has been denied by all parties involved so unless there’s some sort of documentation or proof of the offer it’s really moot point. However, if something ever did come out that proved Ebersole legitimately and seriously offered WWE $50 mil for the trademarks and then WWE turned around and sold it to Alpha for $1 mil that could be very bad for Vince.

Have they denied it? My understanding was that the only reason Vince restarted the XFL was because Charlie Ebersol approached Vince after the reception to the ESPN documentary was so positive. Vince saw what Ebersol was planning with the AAF and the value of the XFL IP, then rushed an XFL announcement to beat them to the punch.

In the recent lawsuit both WWE as well as Charlie Ebersole denied the $50 mil. offer ever happened. Which, doesn’t actually mean shit, it just means there’s no proof.

I’m convinced Vince could murder someone in front of a large crowd and law enforcement and still find a way out of it. Let’s see how many lives he truly has left. Some would argue he already has... *cough*

There was definitely a conversation, but Vince is way too smart to put anything on record

For more fun, the XFL is being accused of not paying photographers as well. One of them, Melissa Lytle, is owed 1000 dollars

I was thinking more “GINORMOUS TESTICLE ENTERTAINMENT” Big ball broadcasting. Given his sense of humour it's sort of a wonder that Vince didn't give Balls Mahoney the Cena push.
