Obviously, Ref John Cone did not do that on his own volition. What moron told John to PHYSICALLY break up the finish, just to re-do the finish 10 seconds later??? Just so they could get the shot of Rey looking sad???
That was one of the dumbest looking things (logically) I have seen in the WWE.
This was so incredibly dumb, that the person who told John to do that should just not be in wrestling anymore. It's not a Hollywood movie, where you get to re-do things just because you want a certain "shot".
You killed the entire integrity of the match to get a camera shot of Rey looking sad??!

That was the worst thing I ever seen.
Holy shit. This company is literally obsessed with production, camera angles and lighting. It’s at the point where they are sacrificing logic and psychology.
What happened there was way worse than that Dark Order guy and his punches.

I’m just comparing the backlash of that incident to this one. I’m willing to bet this won’t get as much coverage and for me, it was way worse.

People are just saying if you're gonna criticize AEW for every little thing, they should be aware WWE is far from perfect and despite all their money and power can look "Bush League" too. And they don't have the excuse of only being alive for a year.

As for the actual topic, it ruined the ending for me and was really freaking stupid but that is most Raw matches these days.

Anyways, what happened tonight was equivalent to the ref botches that happened on AEW though.

I'll say it before a mod does. Let's not start any board wars here. Both companies made goofs, You want to discuss the AEW goof there is a board for it. Let's hug this thing out:

Can someone explain what exactly happened? Even looking up results places seem to be gisting over it. They did a spot where Andrade threw Rey onto Zelina, and then Andrade and Rey went into the ring so Andrade could hit his finisher. John Cone yelled at then and broke up the move, and at the moment it seemed like they Rey was hurt or they were doing an angle. Cone loudly tells Rey to “get out of the ring”, which he does. Rey then stands there, acting worried for Zelina, who is still down on the outside. Andrade goes back out, gets him, finish in the ring, it’s over. So basically they forgot the spot where Rey was supposed to check on Zelina and Vince or Dunn or whoever yelled at Cone to make them go back and do it.
