To purge myself of the Sandler quoting kick I was on the last couple of days, I gotta ask, Does anyone else dig the heck outta this quality flick? In my unhumble opinion it's one of his better films. Or am I by myself in likin this one?

IMO...one of the few things he did that didn't at least half suck.

I love this movie. Cheesy feel-goodness to the last drop.

I've never seen it, shich is surprising, since I'm usually a Sandler fan and have been infatuated with Drew Barrymore since I saw E.T. at age five. (she's older than me, so I don't feel like a pervert at all, thanyouverymuch.)

I love the hell out of The Wedding Singer. I'd take a double feature of that and Fifty First Dates any day.

I liked it. I think Sandler is always at least kinda funny, and sometimes totally hilarious.

at a local video store around here, they play movies on several TVs around the store, and this one almost always is one of them.

Actually Slim I diverge from your sage movie advice here. I like WS okay but found it very ordinary.

In my opinion, Sandler and Barrymore have tremendous chemistry. I think that's the only thing that saved 50 First Dates from being a total crapfest.
They lampooned the 80s in a near perfect way, taking everything over the top enough to show how ridiculous it all was... but making it sublte enough to make you miss the time period.... plus, it shows that no matter how old, no matter what the situation... you just don't talk to Billy Idol that way!

Adam Sandler's been weird for me; he is responsible for some of my favorite and least favorite movies I've ever seen. Billy Madison is still one of my 5 favorite movies, and I love the Wedding Singer, Happy Gilmore and Bulletproof. But to me, Big Daddy is the last movie he did that I enjoyed. I didn't like 50 First Dates or Anger Management at all, I thought Mr Deeds was only average, and Waterboy and Little Nicky didn't really appeal to me.
But he's also responsible for two of my least favorite movies of all time. His first movie was Going Overboard, which is the worst movie of all time, and he also produced Grandma's Boy. I know a lot of people liked that movie, but I don't think I've ever been so angry watching a film as I was with Grandma's Boy. That movie set the public perception of video games back 20 years. A guy steals a demo disc of the game you're "making" and you have no way of proving you made it? How the hell do they think games are made? Put a blank CD in your Xbox and think really hard and the thing spits out a ready-made game? And such gems of dialogue like "I gotta do those reports of levels 4-10 tonight" and "great hit detection; very Miyamoto-esque". I know I'm ranting, but that's like saying "Great costumes. Very Scorcese-esque." God, I hated that movie.
I'm done. Sorry about that.

I love the flick, but got slightly disturbed at some of the 80's thing that didn't fit the timeline...the JR thing in particular (the film is set in 85...the shooting was in 80).
I'm such a geek.
