I'm okay with commentators going OTT like that; it's easy to be snarky, it's not so easy to be 100% balls to the wall enthusiastic. There's something weirdly pure about it. Agreed. I hated David Crockett when I was younger, but I now appreciate his pep and enthusiasm. Even if he was awful. Vince, I run hot and cold with.

I really wish I never got to see the Mr. McMahon character and wish my last memories of him were the commentator. The commentator seemed like such a good guy while Mr. McMahon, most likely playing himself slightly more over the top, just seems so vile and evil.

His commentary is the only time I find him genuinely endearing in any respect, in or out of character. It was sooo horrible, but in such a hilarious way.

I love it. He had a great voice. His enthusiasm felt legit too.. Like dude actually did believe Aldo Montoya was going to pin Bigelow after a dropkick. Yup, and that's why I'll always be a fan of his commentary. Well that and the fact he was one of the main commentators when I grew up with wrestling.
